I'd take Vilardi over Turcotte - obie
Even with the injury problems? |

More proven. Less upside.
IMHO.

That's why I think Montreal is not a good partner for a trade. Any kind of package Columbus would be interested in would be a sideways move at best for the Habs.
Moving on. - stinger67
unless they have an hard on on extending Danault
then you can do something like
Danault + Caufield + 1st + Byron ( for salary cap) |

Danault said he's not negotiating during the season, maybe a trade changes that, who knows... but I don't think that package gets it done... Suzuki or Kotkaniemi or the BJs can find a better deal somewhere else... and Bergy should let them |

They have a disgruntled forward that wants out. I don't want the Habs to overpay to fix their problem.
Also, I don't think they would be interested in Danault, an upcoming UFA as you said. They will likely want a young center that can play now. I think conversation starts with either Suzuki or Kotkaniemi. |

if I'm CLB I'm not too fond of the offensive upside going my way, you have to replace Dubois's production, and the most offensive potential in there would be Caufield, which has yet to be proven and who isn't ready now anyways |

I agree with all of you, just saying there no harm in asking ! We have seen stupid things before. Worst they will say is no !
That being said, really dont think Dubois at 25 will be better than Suzuki at 25...
So perhaps the only question left is swapping KK or not |

I say no to Kotkaniemi as well, especially considering it's gonna cost them another good piece to make it happen |

or breacking his stick in half when cross checking Chiarot back ?
What a great sign when your agent cries after 1 game of regular season, for physical abuse...lol he gonna have a heart attack in the playoff !
What a great winner |

No way! Maybe Kotkianiemi, Byron and Poehling with Columbus including a second round pick coming the other way |

Ignoring that Matthews broke his stick cross checking Chiarot in front of the net, in front of the ref with no call. Specifically asking for special rules for star players comparing them to NFL QBs. Just come out and say your player is a complete female dog who like a typical millenial wants to be treated specially like the entitled whiner he is. |
