(For the record, I understood the frustration people had with him, and the admins wouldn't have acted without some due course, I'm sure. I respected his eloquence and thought that he put into what he said. I wasn't a fan of his inflexibility like everyone, but he was good for some, and very, very bad for others. You had to know when to make your point, read his point, have your counter points issued and then walk away because often both sides were somewhat inflexible.)

Karlsson's 2017 playoffs ended his prime. That injury was devastating. He won't ever be the same. It's a shame because that was the best I've ever seen a DMan play in the playoffs in my lifetime. And he did it injured.

Watching EK65 skate the puck from standstill in the D zone was pure f'n art. 3 strides and he had top speed. When they paired for Sweden, he made Hedman look average.

Karlsson was always overrated, he was/is awful at defense. That contract wasnt a good idea when it was signed, was so obvious it was bad.

He is still good offensively, not much as changed there.

He was good offensively, but poor defensively. I just find his status overrated, not that he was some Marincin level player or something

Overrated doesnt mean he was bad, just not as good as the propped him up to be.
