Karlsson's 2017 playoffs ended his prime. That injury was devastating. He won't ever be the same. It's a shame because that was the best I've ever seen a DMan play in the playoffs in my lifetime. And he did it injured.

Yeah, Craig Anderson was incredible getting Ottawa that far.

I didn't want LeMahieu, so that doesn't bother me at all. Springer is a guy I do want, though.

The Jays are inching closer and closer to this off season being a complete failure. And it's mostly their doing. If they hadn't of said that they're going after literally everyone, then things would be different.

- GreatGigInTheSky

I dunno, by the sounds of it, they made strong trade offer for Lindor and offered more $$ for DJL..

imo a bigger need for Springer and a SP

The team allowed more goals when he wasn't on the ice. He was dominant. I've never seen even Lidstrom carry his team like that in the playoffs.
- RogerRoeper

Pronger in Edmonton is the most dominate I've ever seen't a D-man carry a team, and it's not even close, in my opinion.

Mets are getting close to their top number..they want to stay 10 or so mil under the lux tax (if you believe that)

Jays could sign Springer. Bauer and realmuto and still have a lower payroll than the yanks or dodgers

- senstroll

If they get even one of those guys, I'll consider the off season a win for the Jays.

Brunt who has written about Orr was surprised by the move, not because of Orr’s politics but because he had always been so careful of his reputation, never doing anything controversial.
- Canada Cup

There was some speculation that his endorsement was in exchange for a free membership to Mar-A-Lago.

Who is seeing that Wordsa ad - they shouldn’t have taken these wedding pics.
Yes...yes they should have. At least that one.

- Woderwick

Half of all ads I get here on the 'buzz have ridiculous cleavage.

It's fine because I'm working from home, but if I ever go back to an office, I won't be able to have Hockeybuzz going.

Canes over Detroit

43-14 shots 😮

- Garnie

Think Detroit got 2 charity shots at the end of the game.

I think it might be similar to when they "offered" Eddy a contract. They knew he wasn't gonna take it, so there was no risk in offering it.

For the Lindor trade, I think Cleveland valued it wrong. They should 100% just be rebuilding, so the Jays offer probably should've been the one they took.

It's Orr and its not even close. The endorsement has nothing to do with his hockey ability. Being the all-time greatest NHL D-man doesn't infer intellectual prowess. Only defenseman ever to win the Art Ross (and he did it twice). He retired Plus 597 on his short career, Mario Lemieux by comparison was plus 115 for his career.

He's still got a lock on the Looks like an Average Man But is Actually a World Class Athlete, though.

Serious, if I didn't know who he was, I'd think he'd be a librarian or male nurse or something.

on EE, I am glad he didnt take the deal...they got Pearson with the comp pick and for the last 2 years they would have been trying to get rid of him

He's actually the guy I probably want most.

He's at worst, the 2nd best catcher in Baseball. I think he's a huge upgrade over Jansen. Roll with him as starter for 4 years and have Kirk as backup.

Bauer would probably be the best addition for the Jays, though. Having a 1 2 with him and Ryu would be incredible.

That is absolutely grotesque if true.
