I can appreciate your optimism. Clearly we are all pulling for them to show up big time. But lets not confuse the 16-1, defending Super Bowl champion, with their all world QB with that Ravens team. The QB is better, the weapon are far better, and the coach is far better.

Id love to say "Bills got this"....but Kelce is going to be a huge problem.

Sure, I get it...it is a challenge for sure..as is any team left.
Cleveland played them tough, not like they got blown out...even before Mahomes injury.
I think they have a significant chance, KC didn't see this team earlier.

imagine being the complete douchebag that judges NFL football players based on their political affiliations.

Its (frank)nuts like you that keep me from checking this thread and/or posting more than once a month. I cant believe the collection of losers on this thread.

I'm the first person to bot like someone because of political beliefs. Sod off wanker.

So we’re they just slobs?
Or actually doing damage to stuff?

- jdfitz77

Slobs, broken tables, shattered beer bottles and a little damage to the concession stand. Basically treated it like they were in ECC's parking lot.

That’s dumb- with the concession stand at least
The beer bottles & broken tables were to be expected I’d think

Well when a place opens there doors for free, and doesn't charge any money to come and watch, atleast you could clean up a bit, it's not like they are making a lot of money if any after paying staff and security especially when they have to pay more people to clean up.

I doubt Mahomes is 100% come Sunday, his brain got rattled around + he could barely walk without limping which caused a couple throws to be off, normally would have been routine plays by him.

And let's face it. There is little chance next Bills season will be as "fun" as this one, even if they were to go 20-0 and win the Super Bowl (remember, there's a 17th game next year). Once you taste it, all you want is more. Expectations do play a huge part in this. This year, most of us thought they'd be good, but not this good. Next season, we will be expecting them to be at the top, and the pressure that comes with that is real.

I compare it to the Sabres' two seasons coming out of the 2004-2005 lockout. In 2005-2006, nobody really knew what this team had. As the games went on, there was a sentiment of "hey, we could actually win this thing!". 2006-2007 was more of a "we better win this thing!" kind of a season. Like it or not, expectation is a price you pay for being good, along with losing players and coaches because they're going to get paid.

- buffalofan19

Each superbowl was as fun as the last superbowl during the early 90's. Probably too young to remember.

The 2 weeks before (1 week for the giants game) is the best 2 weeks of anticipation ever. The "fun" built every single year. Anything short of winning the superbowl this year, will be better next year .

If that ends up being turf toe, that could be a problem for him. That's a kind of injury that gets worse before it gets better.

Regarding Mahomes, I still maintain the arm around the neck and the way he was choked out is more probable than the concussion. I have watched that replay 10 times and still can't see where his head hit the ground...yet his neck looked like it could have been broken from the tackle.

My original post on Mahomes concussion call...
I've seen the replay 3 or 4 times, still can't see where his head was crushed to cause a concussion..looked more like his neck than head.

A couple of dissenting opinions

Pointing out someone else that isnt sure what's going on, isn't really a defense? Unless your not watching the game?

He was clearly wobbly and had boxer legs

- Boss34

I don't know what play you saw but his head went straight into the ground and got twisted around like a bottle cap on the play I watched.

Now, from The Athletic -
Players who have concussions one week usually are not cleared in time to play the next week. However, coach Andy Reid sounded optimistic about Mahomes’ condition, suggesting there might not be symptoms. Replays did not appear to show Mahomes taking a direct blow to the head. It could be possible medical personnel diagnosed a concussion out of caution, and that Mahomes actually did not have one.

https://theathletic.com/2...ource=user-shared-article

There are certainly valid questions, more than the dissenting opinion posts.

Josh Allen went into concussion protocol last year during the New England game. He was back for the game at Tennessee the next week. Without assuming the severity of the concussion, Mahomes coming back this week is far from unthinkable.

on top of that, they aren't going to drag their feet on clearing him if he shows he is fine. they are going to want him to play in this game if he is good to go..

A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury (TBI). It can occur after an impact to your head or after a whiplash-type injury that causes your head and brain to shake quickly back and forth. A concussion results in an altered mental state that may include becoming unconscious.

Conveniently left this part out of your post mentioning me

Honestly, when I saw it yesterday, it reminded me of Tim Connolly's injury in Ottawa. After little to no improvement for 6 months or so, they figured out the concussion wasn't the real issue, but his spine was out of whack due to the whiplash.

I agree, didnt look like mahomes head hit the turf, but it's pretty well known that concussions can happen without actually "hitting your head"

Pat looked like a boxer with the wobbly legs and was later diagnosed with a concussion (during the game).

I bet his neck hurts more than his head this morning.

When violently falling to the ground, Mohomes' chin/jaw lands squarely on Wilson's fist/forearm. At the speed of falling to the turf, that's like a punch to the jaw (watch the replay below - the real-time replay is violent). I'd go with that being the reason he was knocked briefly wonky - and the reason he couldn't easily get up. Does a shot to the jaw cause a concussion though ? Doing a quick Google search says yes, you can get a concussion from getting hit in the jaw.

“Patrick passed all of his tests last night. He didn’t actually hit his head, there was a nerve in his neck that got tweaked that made him out of it. He’s getting testing done on his neck/nerve today but did clear all tests last night.”

At the 36 second mark it actually looks like the forehead area of the helmet smokes the ground during the tackle. I don't think I saw that angle till now.
