Oh well. Much better effort, same result. My liver is going to take the brunt of my frustration.
- Chris16

This one hurts and I’m right pissed off.

They should have blown the Caps out tonight and find a way to lose to a rookie goaltender making his first start.

Can’t waste efforts like this

When you get 5 power plays and don’t score you deserve to lose.
- Pegullaville

Agree, would put Risto on PP1 and drop Rhino or Olofsson to PP2, and park Risto in front.

No I firmly grasp it. He was bad.

So was just about everyone besides Risto, Skinner and Hall

every Dahlin shot. my god what happened to this kid
- IceColdBeer

Dahlin's better than makar and Hughes because he was good for an 18 year old.

Same applies for tonight.

Tage is playing hero puck right now.

He needs to keep it simple. I still think he’ll be. Sabre for a while.

He was good last night, but tonight he wasn’t good at all.

He should be playing in the bottom 6

Dahlin has a case of the Yips.

He needs to figure his poop out quick.

Also Ralph needs to get Montour away from him he’s terrible.

Montour is clearly our worst d-man now with Risto ascending to be the 2nd worst.

I'm so tired of hearing excuses from the talking heads.😞

I know it's their job to polish the turd but at what point do they just flip the table and say that I am sick of this poop too?!

My dear God, being a Sabres fan is absolute torture.
I hope that the torture stops here tonight.

Nah, it’s over for him.

But hey, looks like Risto finally turned that corner at 26 years old and 500 games in!

Krueger and Granato must also think special teams do not matter
- Pegullaville

As I watched that game tonight I thought their offensive game is so basic in concept...reminds me of 7, 8 to soccer players who all want to un to the ball and just kick it, anywhere ...no passing. I called it Banger Ball.
It also reminded me as the antithesis of Steve Valiquette analytics that ID the high Danger type shots...not alot of passes across the home plate area....and a fair amount of low Danger shots from the point of top of the circles wides.

Sabres should, perhaps engaging Valiquette's company to work with the Staff so they can work kn schemes to increases their efficiency.
Gods knows they need all the help they can get.

This is first 10 game Risto. He comes around every year. Just wait till the real Risto shows up.

Or is this gonna be the 8th year that we think he will change...?

0-2 start in a 56 game season. They may not even play meaningful games in March after starting in January

Ralph: for the love of all that is holy, just assemble your 6 best offensive players before it's really too late

Protip: Tage is not one of them

A blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

Montour somehow is the worst d-man on the team now and it’s not like Risto has set a high bar

Neither is Staal or Olofsson right now.

The forward core is 4 really good players in Eichel/Sam/Hall/Skinner and a couple middle six guys and one who looks 36 years old

The idea they were going to have this dynamic powerhouse top 6/9 was always a fantasy

My take (IMO) - I think he worked his ass off in the offseason to add muscle. So he came in here with high confidence wanting to take a giant step forward. But he is rusty like everyone else due to a lack of a true preseason and so he’s is trying to do much out there instead of keeping it simple. It’s gonna work itself out the more he plays.

Glad we cleared this up. But Tage and Dahlin have been our two worst players so far by a long-shot and it's very noticeable. Eakin and Reider should be on line 4, but they're not playing particularly bad. Lazar is junk.

It should be

Hall/Eichel/Reinhart
Skinner/Staal/Cozens
Olofsson/Cozens/Thompson
Reider/Asplung/Easkin

As of right now.

Olofsson is completely useless 5v5. It's infuriating.

Doesn’t help that they bungled the 3C spot.

Eakin is terrible.

But hey we got Taylor Hall and we can’t complain about the bottom 6 additions the GM bungled

You know what’s remarkable?

Rasmus Ristolainen is going to outlive Jack Eichel as a Sabre
