the big thing with mccabe is his injury history, which has crept into the equation the last few years

and he is soft and lazy

the next blocked shot will be his first

rip the A off his jersey and trade him

The Sabres are far from the only team that takes the safe approach when it comes to choosing which players play and how many minutes a player gets.

An example is Irwin seeing the ice before Borgen.

- kingcong39

Irwin has looked lost, but they play different sides, so I don't know how much he affects Borgen, I can't stand Miller, he would have had his walking papers already if it was up to me, I have never seen someone get as many shots blocked as him.

I don't mind the veteran approach, but at least target veterans that just don't play a specific role, but play it well.

More importantly, they need to much more quickly identify players that should not be playing and just bite the bullet and sit them (hello Okposo).

The future, but if the team keeps nose diving I would have no problem moving that time-line up, other then Johnson.

good news

The NFL has informed teams that the 2021 salary cap will be no lower than $180 million, a slight increase from last year's previous agreement between the league and the NFL Players Association.

The league told teams in a memo Thursday morning that $180 million is not the final 2021 cap figure, just an adjustment of the cap "floor" established last summer in negotiations between the NFL and the NFLPA.

I don't count pucks bouncing off your skate as you are standing in front of your goalie like a statue

i was just thinking about it...

this group is carrying a huge weight right now and they're struggling underneath it...ralph, as many coaches before him throughout the league, is stout in his belief that vets will find a way out of it because they have experience...

however, none in this forward group, save for jack, has shown the propensity to lift that kind of weight...and on defense, risto and mccabe are the only two that haven't buckled yet...

an influx of fresh blood, like borgen and asplund who both offered up a ton of unbridled energy along with competent play against a very difficult nyi team to play against, should be considered part of the remedy...

imho, of course

- Michael Pachla

Okposo has a history of sucking and getting hurt. He rode JT's coattails to a huge contract, which is good for him. Idk why or how he got his "A" back after losing it to Mojo last year. I assume it's because he lives here year round and he's a nice guy.

Problem is he sucks and has sucked for a long time. Him being the extra attacker the other day was a joke. He brings literally nothing to the table
