Eichel hurt also doesn’t help the pp. He rarely shoots or even take a one timer. Something is definitely off

If olofsson is doing nothing special, why can't everyone score on the pp?

Every player right?
Sam should have as many goals on the pp right?
Over the past 6 years?

Who was doing this prior on the pp ?

Oh , dave andychuck and 1 other sabre had a longer pp point streak

Olofsson finds open spots. That's why they pass to him.
He's open and has a wicked shot

- Boss34

His shot is special. It does open up other things. He's made a few passes back through he middle that have created great chances. It's a welcome twist that wasn't there last year. I don't really see your finds a spot point, since it's generally the exact same spot.

If the PP is average, does it matter where the goals come from? At times, it's been Jack, Sam, Skinner....even RoR had a big PPG year on a bad PP.

Because their entire PP is based around getting him to shoot.

Cozens has a PP goal on like two PP shots this year

It’s not hard to score on the PP. most guys with skill will do it

Come on, it's hard to score national hockey league goals.

I was actually there on Monday. We were going to go Tuesday like we often do, but we kind of misjudged the weather.

Broads is right about Ristolainen and Montour.

The defense has been minimally worse, if that, with them both out. The team needs forward help and clearly isn't altering from the low event hockey style anytime soon, so trade them for forward help, if that's even possible.

- kingcong39

They are so super super soft without risto.

You like that 👍

Risto has improved, but really what does he deter, he doesn't protect his teammates, that goatee is a little scary.

Everyone is looking for olofsson, but he finds open lanes and shots. Generally speaking, he is open for some reason? Hockey sense is my guess.

I like Olofsson, but can't be called a star when you can't score 5on5.

The reason he's open is because it's 5 on 4

Star in the making is more than a stretch. He's got a good to very good shot, but is average at best at everything else. As long as he puts in the work and stays healthy, most teams in this league will find a spot for him, but he will never be a star.

It's almost as if trading for Staal wasn't nearly enough to solidify the Center position, and we won't even mention the great Cody Eakin.
- kingcong39

Regardless of Staal, the top6 isn’t playing well as a group. It’s not just him

And i think u guys underestimate how difficult it is to trade for good top6 centers

The great Cody Eakin...

A reminder that the Sabres’ issue isn’t just one or two players not scoring.

Cody Eakin has only one assist in 12 games. Six shots on goal during that span. He was signed to be an upgrade offensively over Larsson. Hasn’t been the case yet.

What does Eakin's chart look like for last season, for the last 2 seasons?
I don't have access, elsecI's do it myselfie.

I ask, because at this point, I believe the most relevant question is what did guys do pre-Krueger as a comparison. I realize there is risk there comparing based on difference on QofT, but still the most relevant, IMO of course.

If the brain trust known as Krueger et all is playing Low Event Hockey, why trade for more F's who will be marginalized by definition and execution?
