I took my little step brother to a sabres practice back in the day at sabre land

kid must have been 6

he got audette's autograph on a hockey card
and another one
and another one

kid must have had a dozen audette cards in his stack and donald signed each one

- homiedclown

That's super cool.
Patty la la used to try and slip out the side door at Sabre land when I would bring my younger cousin. We would always catch him and he continually signed.

Actually had a beer with la la at otooles ? (Spelling)

Which turned into Hooters on maple/ sweethome.
Next to friendlies.

Nhl was on strike, la la was really genuine. We had a mutual friend. He Kiddingly corrected me when I said he had 147 points. He had 148 😀

Lafontaine was great to talk too, my favorite had to be Jim schonefeld, Met him at one of the Sabres Carnivals back in the late 70's early 80's. talked to me for about 15 mins. I still remember that...

Me and my Brother got to skate with Gilbert quite a few years ago at the HSBC, probably the coolest moment I've had with a hockey player

A lot of experience to turn too but NAHHH lets ride the Ralph wagon to pooptsville. Frank me I hate this team right now and only because they don't have a real coach.
- DirtyDan

They tried a real coach once. never tried a real gm. And I won’t forgive them for not begging duds to help them and being the arrogant franks they were with him.

I gave it to my son, but we still have hockey stick signed by the French Connection. My dad used to work security at the old Aud in the 70's.

Gallant.
BBQ Bruce.
Trade for torts.
Gronbeard.

Pick one, I don’t care, just bring one in now.

that would be a saving grace move for me...not sure it would work as much as we hope, but it might constitute a big move in the right direction

it was kind of a self-defeating duo...it looked as if tmgm was building an l.a. kings, heavy-type team based upon bigger, stronger, faster while disco dan just got done coaching a skilled team

still don't really understand that

At least he’s a proven coach. Has had success with young teams and has done it fairly recently. That call and Ralph’s “promotion” should have been done at the shut down. But I guess the analytics MUST look to good to make a coaching change. It’s just “puck luck”, right? RIGHT!

Considering everything we have been through the past 10 years I really think they need a massive move. While a new coach could make a difference there is still that losing mentality that I don’t think allows them to navigate adversity. As much as I hate to say it something major needs to be done. Trade risto to start. But whether it’s eichel or something else big. They need a change

And then Botterill built a puck-moving defense and Ralph wants to play low event hockey with poopty goalies. They should be opening it up. The d can move, we have Eichel, hall, Skinner and even the new larrys can move better - Lazar, rieder, eakin, even sheahan.

This team simply isn't built to do what Ralph is doing. They're built to move

the new wrong turn movie is decent

nothing like the cannibals from the original series so if you are expecting that, you will not like it

I liked the original

Again it’s terry the fan boy franking the pooch. He goes hot and heavy after Babcock. Babcock uses him to up his contract to Toronto. And instead of sitting back with the gm and discussing the type of team and the best coaching fit, he panic buys byslma with draft capital.... one stupid move compounded by another because the fan boy doesn’t freaking know hockey. He knows fandom.

It’s extremely painful to watch. It’s the equivalent of having all of the Sabres skate with 50lbs packs on. It’s completely wasting Hall. Skinner is so messed up Over the past year and a half it looks like he doesn’t know what to do out there anymore.
At least give us something to watch on a tank Year

“We weren’t good enough. That’s what it comes down to in this league: You’re either good enough or you’re not. I think as a group — myself, everyone — we’ve got to be better.”

ROR...er...Jack Eichel

- Michael Pachla

That’s just how players sound when they’re stuck in a losing situation
Nothing they say will be good enough for the fans

Running ROR outta town was the worst move this franchise made since the Briere/Drury fiasco

I can change

it was the wrong move at the time

just like kim and terry not wanting to keep kane

if we kept ror and kane

never got skinner

we would probably be a little better cap wise and a lot tougher then we are now
