The team is leaderless, soft and heartless!

I expect more of the same tonight!

- sgk56

the fell victim to extreme hubris...posted a convincing 6-1 win in phillydelphia and thought that they were on their way...it was tough last season in the atlantic, it's even tougher this year in the east

I would ship out Hall right now.
- SABRES 89

I was just a teenager when the Sabres broke into the league in the 70's.

They had some very exciting teams early on.

How they have morphed into this current team 50 years later is beyond comprehension!!

if we're going full bore rebuild:

skunk
hall
staal
risto

between now and the deadline...the haul would be more than enough to jumpstart the rebuild and move immoveable contracts like skinner and/or okposo (although i'd ride the last two years of okposo's contract out)

maybe it's the money they make now, vs say 40 years ago

I honestly do not see any likeable players on this team

I mean ullmark seems like he would be ok

For me it depends on when you ask me.

Last season he had moments of greatness and I would have been sick to see him go.

This season is entirely different. WTF is going on with him??

I say if you can get that "haul" then go for it. Before things get worse and the return gets worse.

if doing the full purge it has to be the coach and gm also.
otherwise why bother

So Montour and McCabe look to be in the lineup tonight. I would keep Borgen in and sit Miller
- Buff36

Irwin by far and away is the number one player to sit, and maybe never see the NHL ice again unless they only have 5 other defensemen with a pulse available.

I've always said that players from all leagues should be paid a equal base salary along with some pretty hefty incentives. You would then see all players give their all.

Will Borgen who looked absolutely competent will be 28 before getting 100 NHL games despite being in an organization with so few good defensemen.

The team is infuriating

absolutely...ralph needs to figure it out: “When we score one goal with the lineup we have here at home, it’s not enough,” coach Ralph Krueger said. “We definitely have an expectation of being able to produce three to four goals a game — at minimum — with our group. So, it’s back to the drawing board.”

no sh!t, sherlock

The problem is that the defense (and really the team at large) is built to play a tempo game. Ralph has the e brake on and the team is trying redlining in first gear to get moving
