So what exactly do you base your opinion of his decline on?

One statistic that his sacks went down?

He literally does everything at an elite level still.

My only worry would be health

- sbroads24

He’s a 32year old with a long list of injuries that appear to be wearing on him

It’s clear watching him that he’s declined
Can’t keep paying guys $10mil to only get 5sacks

Our defense lacks a guy that can actually get to the QB & take him down
I think that’s important, and u aren’t gonna change my mind about us needing to get sacks

Tampa was able to beat KC bc their defensive front was disruptive
Ours wasn’t, & that’s a big reason why we lost imo

I don’t think Watt stinks
But there’s lots of questions about just how good he still will be,
and how we’d be able to fit him,
and at who’s expense

All I’m saying, is that it’s a risky move for us

Bc he clearly doesn’t

if the bills got watts and win the super bowl in 2022
watts would be younger then those 3 were last week

I think he checks the boxes on what they need short term for a pass rusher

Not only would he be the best player on the d line, he'd probably be the Bills best tight end

Different players age differently

I think we need a guy who can get AT LEAST double digit sacks for us

It’s clear our defense lacks that
And it’s clear that it a QUESTION as to whether or not Watt can still do that

Well that would probably cost more than Watt will and affect are cap even more. Is he what he used to be NO, but he is still top 10 in most categories.

I'd bring him in on incentive-laden contract. 2 years, 8m per with 10m per more in various incentives (gp, pro bowl, play off wins, etc.)

They could easily pay for that

So up to 18m per season?
No freaking way
Not unless he’s dropping 20sacks for us

I think the conservative coaching by frazier holds us back from anyone getting 10 sacks in a year

U conveniently didn’t answer how many times u watched him play

Watt has been a favorite of mine for years
I just don’t have the confidence that he’s still a difference maker

I guess Diggs kinda sucks because Davis who clearly sucks had just one fewer TD. Cole Beasley somehow got All-Pro despite having 3 fewer than garbage Davis.

That's what you sound like when you keep harping on sacks as the be-all and end-all.

I think if the price is right, and Beane thinks it's a good move, then I'm not one to argue.

I find very few faults in what they've done down there, so if JJ Watt is at the top of their list, then so be it.

Ima watch em every Sunday, regardless!

You're being purposefully difficult, but I would file that under "etc." which I did list.

Incentive-laden contract. That's how you maximize veteran additions
