The same bad D they have had for 3 years.

Markstrom left, that’s the big difference

Vancouver has sucked in their own end for years.

Thatcher Demko playing out of his skull was the only reason they weren’t swept in 4 by Vegas in last years playoffs.

Losing Stecher (underrated) and Tanev doesn’t help the cause but even with those two they still stunk

Demko and Holtby didn't get 20 percent worse in an offseason

which is my point

I have seen countless stupid screens by the nucks d men
lazy turnovers

and panic poor decisions by them

many more then what I saw last season

If this team doesn't come out with a fire lit under their ass, that's it for the season.

They need to rattle off 3-4 wins in a row here, and I'm not talking limping into the shootout and getting loser points, I'm talking regulation wins where we aren't pulling our goalie with 2:34 left in the game.

Time to step up. No more excuses.

But inevitably, we will be reading the "Too small of a sample size" and "it's a short season and they didn't have training camp to develop chemistry" or "They just had to take 2 weeks off due to COVID, you really can't blame them" excuses.

Since that last run after the lockout with Briere and Drury, we have been making the same damn excuses for this team, despite the rotating cast of players and coaches.

This fanbase is nothing but excuses.

Agree with the "it's fime to step up",
Disagree with the fanbase is a joke

What exactly would you have fans do differently?

It does feel like fate and the NHL (frank) them at every turn. Last year the league shutdown the day they were playing MTL for a playoff spot. The league format doesn't help them. Taylor Hall has covid. Eichel got hurt before the season. They Sabres will now play without 4 of their 6 defensemen.

They aren't excuses. It's just the way things are - bad.

Playing a defensive team like the Islanders a bunch over the next week without 4 defensemen is going to be really damn hard. It's easy to say "go out there and win" but harder to do it with Rory Fitzpatrick, Paetsch, Jeff Jillson and Doug Janik

Exactly. (sarcasm).

Fans have the right to watch or not watch, spend their money on tickets and merch or not, stay positive, negative or indifferent, whine on social media (the cesspool where intelligence goes to die) and throw classless insults at the owners.

And that's about it.

What are we going to do if they "don't come out and rattle off 4 wins in a row", storm the arena in stupid makeup, wearing beaver pelts and cattle horns?

I disagree with it too, seeing as I didn't say that.

We aren't a joke as a fanbase - We're not responsible for this mess. However, the constant excuses have gotten old. As well as the "you don't like it don't watch it" attitude.

I watch it because it's my favorite team. I watch it because I like the sport and I want to see the team do good. I don't like the excuses my peers make just as much as I don't find the actual product to be acceptable or entertaining.

It isn't. It's crap. I don't care what the reasons are for it.

I just want to watch some Sabres hockey, if they start getting consistent 5 on 5 scoring they will be fine and we all will be talking a different story. Plus I don't have any beaver pelts.

Paquette and Galchenyuk weren't doing much of anything for Ottawa. Maybe Dzingle finds his touch goes back to 2019 for Ottawa

That’s probably why I shouldn’t assume, but he’s on the ice and expected to play

So he won’t miss any games.

Agreed.

They have the talent. Is the coach holding them back?
