From this point forward Burke, in terms of tenure, id say the same.
- ImThatGuy

Guy- They had to basically beg and pay Burke top $

He has turned down plenty of opportunities prior.

Probably an nhl hall of famer when it's all said and done.

Krueger- soccer manager with good social skills.
Not wanted by other teams .

This couldn't be a more different situation.

Plus he is being hired in Ralph's 2nd season, which hasnt been exactly perfect.

This season won't count for burke most likely

Honestly I always thought Jochen Hecht would become one of the most underrated Sabres in team history.

A player like him could help this team tremendously.

Gritty, defensive minded, and able to put up 45-50 points

- dadeadhead

Would love to have a Hecht or Neal on this team. It to me is the biggest thing holding this team back. I think it gives players the confidence to just go out and play there game.

And this team needs a Bob Probert type guy, not the just penalty min fighting Probert, but the I’m gonna put up 29g 33a for 63 points all while kicking your face in Probert.

Absolutely but they need a guy that will answer the bell for his teammates.

I’m not talking a straight up goon either.

Bennett is one of those guys to a lesser extent.

that extra year on the rookie deal is huge for first rd picks

cut addison, butler and jefferson

that's 20 million out
money for jj watt and a lb coming in

plus star is coming back

cut brown, matakevic, morse

that saves 16.5 mil which gets close to being at the cap and feliciano

lee smith, if he retires saves 2 plus mil

then get a few guys to restructure so you can bring williams back

that is holding serve pretty good IMO given the state of the roster

and if you don't get watt, you have 15 or so mil to get that 4 or 5 value contracts like williams was this year

Pittsburgh is 22 million over the cap. I'm not sure they'd gut the team just so JJ can play with his brothers. HE would fit in perfectly with the Bills from an attitude standpoint, I'm just not sure if he has much gas left in the tank. Didn't watch any Houston games this year.

Only issue is the Bills run a 4-3 and not a 3-4.

Watt scares me.

Missed 32 games the last 5 years and was not effective in the full season he played this year (5 sacks). Unless it's a team-friendly contract (he'll have other teams looking at him, so why would he give the Bills that?), I think the money is better spent on other players. I'm sure Beane will do his due diligence, though. And if he feels Watt can significantly help us, I'm on board. On the surface, it feels like a huge risk.

Not to mention he wants to win, and Pittsburgh won't be doing that any time soon.

I trust them on researching the health of whoever they bring in

when daryl williams blew out his knee in week 1 in 2018, it was ugly
I watched it as I was heavily invested on the RB for that game, and the bills game was over

he limped off the field in pain, another guy got hurt so he limped back on the field and 2 plays later, i think, and blew out his knee

they buried him on a rotation in 2019

we got him, and he was a bargain this year

I would hope if there is flags after observing watt, they walk away but be bold if they feel he is fine

maybe add colts, titans , saints or rams

but it's a short list

It’s early, Watt is the 1st of many that are going to available.

Some of those are gong to be value deal as Buffalo is now going o be a place that attracts players to that are looking for a ring.

I really felt all along they were going to bring Alexander back at the midway point of the season and have him all rip roaring to go for the playoffs.

With the Cap situation in the NFL, should be some pretty good players hitting the market in a few weeks.

Give Watt Trent Murphy’s money, Watt isn’t going to get huge money with his injuries and the cap situation for this coming season.

I think it’s a 4 team race with the Bills being one of those teams

Green Bay
Pittsburgh
Buffalo

And maybe a team like Baltimore if they don’t keep Yannik
