Interested to see how Byfield develops, as he has the size, talent and skating skills to be something special IF he embraces and leverages his God-given size and skills to also be a physical presence.

I'd be open to trading Eichel for a package that includes Byfield in a multiple player/prospect package.

Grow some balls KK, do it!

The NHL can (frank) right off with this horsepoop.

They wanted the intrigue of a team in the play-in potentially receiving a top 3 pick and having to do a part 2 of the draft lottery.

Looks like Feliciano is gonna stay a Bill.

That's some great news - it would be nice have one less item on the to-do list.

On the other hand, they tried to keep the integrity of the 15 Lottery Teams concept alive while also expanding the "playoff teams" due to unparralled events.

I'm of the belief that no matter what they did for the draft AFTER they decided to expand the playoffs via play-in teams, they would catch crap either way.
Could they have implemented a clause to limit the number of spots a team could jump up, sure...would they have been criticized for it, yes

Or like, the worst team in the league should never end up picking fourth.

a playoff team should never be in the lottery.

The NHL deserves all the flack for this.

"This is a tough one". I take that as a compliment. The other day I told my nephew, "Make Jack Eichel the same size as Josh Allen...that's Eric Lindros". Im glad others agree.
- Blockhead

Lindros was alot bigger and was a powerful force.

Eichel is skilled and more finesse.

Maybe in a video game, you could make eichel lindros' size, but he would still play like tage.

Like the comparison from a "when they retire"
They will probably have the same number of points 👍

I mean if your looking to trade Eichel, the Kings would be a good place to start the bidding war with.

I think Lindros (before the injuries) was probably on par with McDavid in that he was just playing the game in a style and level that nobody else was playing at. I loved watching Peca go against him - there was some great battles which is amazing because of the difference in size.

Agreed, yet it has been a possibility since they went with the 3 position lottery...it just played out that way last year.

I like limiting the fallback to say 2 positions, and limiting the jump up to say 3 positions.

I would prefer they scrub the whole lottery to be honest.

I watched lindros :

Power forward sized game with little finesse

Eichel:
Finesse game with little power forward size game.

Both could skate

*little known fact : lindros drafted in buffalo.
Cousin met him at McDonald's downtown, got his autograph on a napkin. 1st overall in 1991. 30 years ago.
