*Had more TOP than Kansas City this season

Gotta love how the same 2 guys just make crap up on here every single day and repeatedly get proven wrong and look like fools.

Yessir. Just have to wait til his contract hits the books and all those weapons around him get old or leave for a serious pay day. Until then, just appreciate greatness when you see it I guess.

Can we hold more than 50% of his salary? That’s rhetorical. They aren’t taking him. even if he and Adams were further down on their knees than fitz they still aren’t taking him.
- TheHank

Seattle will get the table scraps of most teams, they need to reach the cap floor, probably won't win the lottery and need proven scorers if they hope to emulate the success Vegas had.

The biggest issue here is that Skinner has a 7.5 million dollar signing bonus due July 1st and the expansion draft is in June, so they would be on the hook for that bonus. But his base salary next year is 2.5, then year after next the same applies. His last 2 years are 7 million and 5 million due, so the contract actually isn't that bad, being front-loaded.

If they do decide to try and emulate Vegas, they will not hesitate to take Skinner off our hands. They will want to build the best possible team right out of the gate and with both Ron Francis and Jason Botterill up there, Skinner will waive and they will gladly take him.

6 years of a scoring winger in his prime for an expansion team? With 2 years burned off his contract? His salary was actually 10 million last year and this year, so the devil is in the details.

I wouldn't doubt it if Botterill planned this all along, the cap-wizard he is.

It's madness.

The Chiefs replaced the Patriots as the team to beat in the entire NFL and will dominate for the next 15+ years and people act like they're the 1999 Titans.

If we're lucky, we're the Payton Manning Colts and manage to beat them a couple of times but I can honestly see a pretty awesome rivalry brewing and I love it.

Also, if you take away the Super Bowl last year for Kansas City and the Jets game this year for us, and also the Super Bowl this year away from the Chiefs, we're basically the same team.

Well your bet would be 100% wrong
Having a DE1 who doesn’t sack the QB all that much is very underwhelming imo
I think sacks matter
AGAIN, they aren’t the “end all be all”
But they do matter imo

Has it been 7years since we’ve had a legit pass rusher?
I can’t think of a guy who been in the double digits in recent years
And i do believe it’s a major flaw in our defense

Bc simply “putting pressure” on a guy like Mahomes often isn’t enough
This was proven when he tore us to shreads last weekend
Maybe sacking him more won’t be enough either,
but setting them back more wouldn’t hurt

- jdfitz77

Good fitz

Gotta stop machomes to beat kc

Double covering / zone coverage / stopping tyreke, stopping kelsey ..... not gonna work

Gotta pressure him, make him rush his throws. Throw pat off his game.

The teams that have beaten Mahomes in the regular season the past few years have all controlled time of possession.

That was on me not you. I initiated it. I don’t fight with anyone on here anymore except you, and I’m not alone. Even boss and I don’t get at each other’s nerves anymore. I’m all for reasonable convos. Your track record regarding almost everything with almost everyone suggests otherwise. Take a long look in the mirror dude. You are generally extremely toxic here. With almost everyone. I’m guessing you’ll come back with some unsubstantiated ridiculousness that will further substantiate what I just said though. If not, I’m happy to resume the reasonable convo. Don’t blame anyone but yourself if you’re unable to do so. Arguments aren’t fights and convos aren’t always arguments. We all are fans of the same team in the end.

Not sure they make a run like the Pats, but they are that team now.

It will interest me how they eventually do without probably the best TE ever. He’s 31 now. Will slow down very soon.

Maybe I have too watch that goal a few more times, to talk myself into believing I'm right?

What's the magic #? 6 or 7 replays?

Dude missed an open net. Beautiful set up, but won't show up on your charts and graphs.....

I’m just wrong about everything I post on here day after day.

Just like how it was me vs. the world when I said we should have let Skinner walk to UFA.

Andy Reid made both Donovan McNabb and Alex Smith look like HoF QB's. He had years of success but could never get over the hump with those QB's.

He now has the heir to the throne in Mahomes and has already been to 3-straight AFC championships. He went to 4-straight in Philly and 5 total.

New England went to 13 total and 8-straight AFC championship games in the Belichick/Brady-era.

I can't see them not absolutely dominating for the next 5-7 years at least.

This is a really good thought GM3

I wasnt buying the skimmer to Seattle, but you brought up a few good points.

I think skimmer burned his bridge with both teams and gms. This isnt all Ralph's fault. Skinner looks lost. Dumb delay of game penalties.

Not sure whether they like him or not ?

If we have to sweeten the pot with a 3rd rounder, so be it. But his remaining contract is 6-years.

2.5 base/7.5 bonus
10 base
2.5 base/7.5 bonus
10 base
7 base
5 base

And that honestly isn't too bad.

As far as the "dumb delay of game penalties" that's what happens when you make your best goal-scorer play back on defense and he's the only one near the net to clear the puck because Ristolainen and McCabe have zero defensive awareness.

Risto has been great this year but he's always been a PP-specialist with offensive upside and a liability around his own net.

McCabe is a concrete statue with no situational awareness whatsoever.

Skinner has actually been doing what's been asked of him, for what it's worth. He was asked to play defensively and he is always coming back so far this year.

The problem is, that's not the game he should be playing and he's so worried about getting chastised for not coming back, he peels off into the neutral zone every chance he gets.

He's still drawing penalties like a madman, he's the only one on his line generating chances and he's being forced to play to the opposite of his strengths.

He's not innocent. He's had several chances he's failed to cash-in on and he isn't having fun out there - That's the problem. I've watched him his entire career and he's always been having fun and that's when he's at his best.

Ralph's system is archaic and detrimental to the talent we have. He's trying to win the defensive game instead of trying to outscore the older, slower and less experienced teams.

At least Edmonton let's McDavid and Draisaitl loose.

Our coach is trying to make Miller, Ristolainen, McCabe, and Montour all Norris candidates. He's an idiot.
