1- i never said it wasn’t
2- when a QB fumbles, IT’S A SACK

- jdfitz77

Yes I know that, but that doesn't mean they actually knocked the QB down.

they torch all teams at will when they need to. they're the class of the league. lump the Bill's in with all 31 other teams. I'm not losing any sleep personally. next.
- TheHank

Ok....
what do u think the Bills need to improve on to beat KC ?

I’m not satisfied with just being the 2nd best team in the AFC
That’s great, but the point is to win a SB- right?

They need to generate pressure on defence and be able to clock more time of possession on offence.

Huh?
What does “knocking the QB down” have to do with what we are talking about?

I never said Hughes is terrible

It’s like u literally just make up stuff i supposedly said, but never did

I think a starting DE should get more than 4.5 sacks when making $10ish mil

Why exactly is wanting more sacks a BAD thing?

- jdfitz77

You said him getting 4.5 sacks is an absolute joke as a 10 mil player and he wasn’t good. Sometimes he’s alright.

Glowing endorsement

And it’s not bad to want more sacks, it’s sad to be so stubborn that you can’t accept any type of new information have to dig in so deep to defend a silly point that you made because Jcrag basically said “who cares” that the D line wasn’t great

It's marked as a sack, but you actually don't have to sack the QB to record it, you can be putting pressure on him and just hit his hand and knock the ball out.

Well AllPro- wait, he was never an AllPro- i meant ProBowler- wait, he was never selected to the ProBowl....
How about double digit sack master?
Nope, not in 7 years....

Hmmmm..... Hughes really doesn’t sound so “excellent” to me guys

Interesting how he had double digit sacks in back to back seasons with Mario here as a true #1 pass rusher though
Be nice to have that again imo
By “that” i mean a legit #1 pass rusher

Hughes would be a good DE2
As a #1, he’s lacking imo

Oops, got the Russians mixed up
My bad

Weird how NyI is struggling so much this year
Hopefully we can take advantage of that

Bad is mostly meaningless to me now

This is fine for the time being. I don't think it's objectively - or even relatively - bad compared to the bad I've seen. It's watchable. That's something

- jcragcrumple

It's not even remotely watchable.

They still play hot potato with the puck and can't pass worth a poop, none of them skate with confidence and they stand still half the time looking stupefied.

The bills need to improve everything. One can nitpick all day til they’re blue in the face. The chiefs are just better. More rush yards, meh. More sacks, meh. Better special teams, meh. Better QB play, meh. Yada yada yada. The chiefs are just flat out better across the board. I think the bills need time. Time. Plain and simple.

Hughes’ numbers speak for themselves.

They need someone else on the other side that rivals him.

Or Oliver to take the next step.

he might waive but theres no way on God's green earth they select him wwith that ridiculous contract. I'm convinced this team will not be good/great/stand a chance until his contract is up and I'd wager Seattle knows that too. if skinners contract isnt the worst/most untradeable/ biggest albatross in the league it damn sure isnt far off. we are stuck with him for the duration and it's going to be all but impossible to be good/great/a contender until that contract is off the books. it sucks but I believe it to be true. in light of that, I think our window now opens up in about 2027, I'm game for maneuvering always in all ways towards being good around that time. sorry, not sorry. gives us 7+ years to rebuild again. meh.

And who's actually been on the other side helping Hughes since Mario left. One hand washes the other. Like Boards said good pressure pushes the pocket and other players can benefit from that. Murphy, Addison, Jefferson just didn't work out in that way.

You said Hughes isn’t good.

That’s wrong. Period.

Literally 0 professional analysts who get paid to analyze the Bills would agree with you.

0 people who do advanced stats in football would agree with you

Hughes is widely considered a very good player

U can also push the QB out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage & get a sack without “tackling him to the ground”

Well watch for March and when the new year kicks in and the Cap number is released, most of those guys won't be here.
