Sacks & interceptions are totally different
You say I’m stubborn, yet u refuse to let this invalid comparison go

A pass rusher can get a sack on potentially every pass play
That’s just not the same for a DB with INTs

Pressures are nice, sacks are better
There’s no way to reasonably argue against that

- jdfitz77

a good pass rush, leads to more int's though

We need a trade to talk about.

Ok, well would you do a Bryson for Mete trade?

Sacks aren’t the end all be all,
but they are better than just a “pressure”
It’s inarguable

“Ralph is somebody that I look up to a lot,” Eichel told Hockey Central’s Jeff Marek last April while quarantining at his house in Buffalo. “There’s such a great respect there and I think that it’s mutual between us.”

Discuss.

So those rumors that he's happy might be true?

Maybe the guy IS hurt.

- Powerslave

What the honest (frank) is he supposed to say though, dude?

"I have hated every coach they have hired"?

He's already been labelled a coach-killer. This quote hardly tells us anything. The dude is lying through his teeth.

Worst part is, Bylsma was the best of the bunch and still sucked, Housley was clueless and Ralph is horrible. We honestly would be better off with Ted Nolan right now.

But seriously, you believe this just because it was quoted? He clearly hates being here and the horrible coaching decisions for 6 years now have a lot to do with it.

This is the equivalent of a Durex for a Trojan trade.

Here’s you -

“Jerry Hughes is bad because he doesn’t get sacks”

Therefore sacks are the only thing that matters

So what’s the only thing that matters for DB’s if it’s not interceptions?

- sbroads24

When i say “pressures are nice”
That means that “sacks aren’t the only thing that matters”
Your misinterpretation is moronic

I’ve NEVER said sacks are the only this that matters
But for some reason, your pea-brain can’t even get around something i never said

And I’ve already explained how sacks & INTs aren’t the same

FWIW, I have been a Skinner fan since he entered the league. I was ecstatic when we traded for him and literally drove around Buffalo screaming "We signed Jeff Skinner!" when the news dropped 2 summers ago.

There's no more excuses from me. He isn't doing a good job. Granted, he isn't being put in a position to succeed, but he isn't doing anything besides drawing penalties.

Ralph is giving him the Afinogenov treatment.

He has checked out.

I guarantee you he would waive to go to Seattle in the expansion draft at this point. Book it.

Mete is pretty decent defensively, he could go to 3LD and put Joker back on the right side. There the same age, but Mete has already played 2 1/2 seasons in the NHL.

I would absolutely do that. He's nothing flashy, but he's a solid bottom pair defenseman, from what I know of him.

Ralph would probably ruin him 😂

The Islanders lost their 5th in a row last night. We should be everything they need to cure their ills.

If the isles start a rookie goalie or a guy that hasn't played in the nhl in a few years....... bad medicine

The Isles could sign a 75 year old Bernie Parent, and we'd make him look like 30 year old Bernie Parent from the '75 finals 😂

Bad is mostly meaningless to me now

This is fine for the time being. I don't think it's objectively - or even relatively - bad compared to the bad I've seen. It's watchable. That's something
