Oh well,
i tried to have a reasonable convo with you again
Not surprised this is how it ended up going

Asked multiple times for u to talk about some 2Cs that you’d like to see us target, & instead get “lol”

Have a great night

Lol. I don’t care how many points any of those guys had

Trading for very old players to play key roles is stupid. Trading or signing them to be role players and leaders is smart. It’s an absolutely fine comparison

Kadri
PLD
Duchene
Trochek
Domi
Strome
JT Miller (half center half wing)

Yes, there’s been plenty. That’s not including any UFA’s

- sbroads24

Nice edit
7 in 3years is NOT “a ton”
More of your usual exaggeration dude

1- Kadri- Leafs weren’t trading him to us
2- PLD- we could’ve beat Laine? Come on
3- Duchene- overrated, terrible contract
4- Trocheck- we didn’t have a Center to trade them
5- Domi- again, a division rival moving him out of the division- & we didn’t have an “Anderson” to give them. Not to mention, Domi had attitude issues & was playing bottom6 wing for the Habs
6- Strome- isn’t a “good” 2C, had worse stats than Staal last year. Come to think of it, he’s not the only one
7- Jt Miller- he’s really a wing. But let’s say he really is a Center.... would u really have given up a 1st for him? Certainly not our top10 pick for him. Not back then when most thought VAN overpaid for him

To summarize:
1- this isn’t “a lot”
2- most of these aren’t trades/players we should’ve wanted anyways
3- O’Reilly was & is better than them all
4- still waiting for who u wanna see us target NOW

Staal isn’t a great 2C, but he’s a decent one
And we got him for cheap
And he’s producing just fine after his slow start
Comparing him to Jumbo Joe & Spezza is a joke

At the end of last season I believed Eichel had closed the gap between himself and Mcdavid to be negligible. Mcdavid is better but Jack was finding his stride big time. Much in the way Josh Allen did for the Bills this year. Yeah if the Texans wanted to trade straight up Watson for Allen, Watson is probably better, Even if only minimally better. He's better but Josh has clearly invested himself and made that difference negligible. The gap between Eichel and Mcdavid is widening again. Part of me would be happy Jack was stuck up in Edmonton.

ROR was run out of town in a similar manner to what you've been writing. Sure, let's run Eichel out of town too for the complete and total organizational failure for the past decade. I'm sure that will work out well.

I think we are going to see some more upside her into the summer but then I can see the markets going into the gutter again.

There have been a few names pumped up by Wall Street Bets and some people have probably made some life changing money because of it but the overall markets have looked bleak. DJIA and SPY have been going down lately and the VIX (volatility Index) is starting to perk up again.

I’ve been in Gold and Silver explorers/developers since around June of last year. Switched over to exclusively silver around December.

Think we may see some action in the commodities market these next 4-6 months to the upside after a roughly 7 month consolidation/coil.

- Pegullaville

Nothing looks like a safe bet to me right now. I wouldn't mind silver, but not at the $27 it's going for today. The way I see it, a 20 year bull run (that included a black swan financial crisis) is ending. It's been really easy to make money the last decade. Really easy. I made it, and I'm staying out of what is maybe the most expensive market on relative terms in history. I've got a little volatility play as a hedge, but I'm just sitting in cash mainly. I am pretty sure by December 31, 2021 some great buying opportunities will arrive, at least relative to today's prices. Or, maybe not, and I'll become a bond guy for the first time in my life.

Great cast. Hoping for a good review from you later! 😉

a bit slow for me

the interaction between denzel and marek is easily the best part of the movie

leto IMO did not add much

decent flick but left a bit on the table

the bar is low in the covid era for movies, so it left me satisfied but wanting more from it given the cast

Good review. Thanks, sir.

I ended up watching it late last night, and I did like it. Wasn't as intense as I thought it was going to be, but agree that Denzel and Rami fed off each other well.

I don’t blame you tbh. I don’t necessarily disagree with anything you’ve said apart from Silver being expensive at $27. I’d be shocked if silver isnt trading at $50+ ounce by the end of the year, may even happen in the next 6 months.

The bond bubble is about to pop by the looks of it. The dollar and treasury yields including real rates are in the toilet. Silver’s adjusted value per inflation is $1000 but because of constant naked shorting they have kept silver down to mask the true effects of the inflation they have been creating the last 20-30 years.

I highly doubt they can keep it down any longer, the fiat money system looks extremely broken.

We are stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. It’s either the money printing machine goes brr and we create hyperinflation (already being seen in housing prices and grocery prices) or they ultimately fail in creating enough inflation to inflate away the debt crisis that we are in and the markets tank 60% + but the dollar survives.

Either way it’s not pretty

Sabres have been making 2nd, 3rd, 4th string goalies look like superstars for YEARS! now... it’s amazing really. Just bring in Bruce. Or Gallant... does Ralph REALLY want to coach? Doesn’t he want the cushy executive position? Working with Adams and Pegs to build the most synergistic roster the nhl has ever seen!

Pegula loves Ralph, can't see him going but if he does, you want him gone not in the front office............. just plain gone.

Last year I took the time to review the centers traded over the past 4 years, using various tools to focus the trades for what we would generally consider 2C's. The list came to 18 over 4 years, but I included 2 who were suspect C's...like JT Miller ( he had a ton of FO's) ... I settled on 16of them over 4 years.

First I was ridiculed by one poster for including JT Miller and another (can't remember now), then ridiculed for using a 4 year period as my sample set.

One of the funniest arguments I had on here.

That’s the problem. I don’t see Ralph going anywhere because pegs loves him. So the best I can hope for is sending him up to the executive suite and maybe get a real coach.

I am at a loss with this team. Zero consistency. You’d expect the top 6 to do something... jack doesn’t look like jack. Dahlin looks the furthest from generational. I’m not sure hutton fixed his eyesight. But risto looks serviceable, Rieder and Lazar look ok.

I just don’t know where to begin... yes they are in playoff contention but do they look like a playoff team?!? Something just ain’t right with this group... again...
