If Staal is out, I guarantee Ralph is going to put Eakin there instead of Cozens or even Hall (who, yes, has played center)

We are (frank)ed if our center depth is back to square one

If he's out long term the season ended tonight

- jcragcrumple

I know what you're saying, our season ended when locomotive went down.

You are very negative about everything it seems. Relax I’m sure Kuemper is on his way. Just going to cost a couple draft picks or some good prospects.
- Camel

That’s a joke
I’m one of the least negative ppl on here

I’m just giving sh!t to all the dummies who claimed i was wrong about us needing a goalie upgrade & telling me Hutton would be fine now that his vision would be fixed

Kuemper would be a great addition!

Lindy ruffs debut as devil's head coach

3-2 shootout loss to Boston

Devil's had no Nico bratt and vats

Blackwood stopped 35 of 37

Devil's had 3 shots in the first and at one point outshot 25-10

After 2 periods devil's had 4Power plays with one shot total and about 20 seconds in offensive zone

Couple more things: Eichel playing at 50% effort and he still got 2 assists. Imagine if this guy gave a crap anymore.

Olofsson: 2 points and still a -2.

Reinhart: -2

Hutton: .815 sv%

Skinner literally needs to be on line 1 in order to be effective at all, yet he is buried on line 4. We paid this man 9 million dollars to play "defensively responsible hockey" on the 4th line, apparently.

Okay, maybe (maaaaaybe) he's 1-dimensional. Yes, he's over-paid. But this guy needs 18 minutes a night and a high shot volume to get in a groove, and we have one of the best play-making centers in the game to feed it to him.

But Tage f'king Thompson is playing on line 1 because Ralph Krueger says you have to "earn" your chances.

Mother (frank)er, Jeff Skinner scored 40 goals playing with Eichel and got paid 9 million dollars for it. If that's not the definition of earning it, then I don't know what it.

Hey we all have been dying to see some hockey, first game back with a lot of new faces, it was sloppy should have been expected. Defense gave up the blue line way to easy, Cozens didn't look out of place but they definitely are not all on the same page, a lot of hesitation and slow to pucks.

I thought Olo, Staal and Sam looked like crap, except for Staal's horrible turnover for a goal, I didn't notice them at all. Nice bullet by Olo into a wide open net while play was on other side of the net with the 1st PP playing 5v4
Skinner on line 4.
Wonder why Skinner didn't score...he must suck.

- IonSabres

Olo had a nice assist and a nice shot
2 points. = not crap

Soft play , secondary assist off the goalie pad
Affraid to take a hit to make a play = crap

Skimmer = not a sniper

Uncle ion, skinner is a play maker
Olo is a sniper.

Jack and sniper = success
Skins has to be a play maker, regardless of his line

Ralph Krueger LITERALLY SAID he wasn't coaching them tonight. He literally said that.
- 3rd GM's the charm

Yes he said that but we are talking about professional hockey players. You can’t really believe that because he said that everyone thought they should just do what they want at a leisurely pace.

eichel missing a number of days at camp (4 or 5?) and is still getting his legs under him...and even at 50% he still impacted the game...wasn't pretty at times but he's still backing off the d and had a couple of helpers

I don’t understand why some gave him so much hate
He’s a decent depth player
Nothing great by any means, but not really worthy of all the hate some gave either

Some ppl can’t stop b!tching though i guess

Back-to-back? We play tomorrow again at the same time against the same team.

I don't actually disagree with playing the back-up in game 1 and the "starter" in game 2.

But Hutton should have been sent sea-worthy and sunken to the bottom of the ocean before the season even started. He's horrible.

But also, why can't Ullmark play 2 in a row?
