If Staal is out, I guarantee Ralph is going to put Eakin there instead of Cozens or even Hall (who, yes, has played center)

We are (frank)ed if our center depth is back to square one

If he's out long term the season ended tonight

- jcragcrumple

they can bury asplund 8 minutes a night and give lazar a shot with reinhart and olofsson

Positives -

Olofsson was really good

So was Hall and Jokiharju for the most part

Negatives -

I hate the coach and goalies more than I hate Covid

- sbroads24

Well that’s a stupid freaking comment
Wtf is wrong with you?!

Hopefully Ralph will switch some things up tomorrow

1 game is a very small sample size though
On the other hand, we can’t afford to get off to a slow start this season

- jdfitz77

I thought aside from the few gaffs, tage had a decent game

they all had a few gaffs, tage seemed to have them at the worst spots on the ice

of course staal had the biggest gaff

Tage was trying to do too much.

If he plays within himself he’s the least of the teams problems

Soft sam cant take the hit to make the play with the puck on his stick in the caps zone. Gives it up with ease. Game over.

Olofsson is a sniper.

Skimmer not a sniper

- Boss34

I thought Olo, Staal and Sam looked like crap, except for Staal's horrible turnover for a goal, I didn't notice them at all. Nice bullet by Olo into a wide open net while play was on other side of the net with the 1st PP playing 5v4
Skinner on line 4.
Wonder why Skinner didn't score...he must suck.

They didn’t give up. And 3rd was prob their best period. If it wasn’t for that stupid turnover right after McCabes goal, they might be going to OT right now. Sorry for being so positive.

I don't know what game everyone else watched but I saw:

Our entire defense was terrible.

No one wants to or knows how to handle the puck except Eichel and Hall.

Thompson tries to handle the puck. He still has horrible decision-making and shoots the puck into the goalie's chest or the defender's legs. He should not be on line 1 to say the least. He is all brawn and no brains.

Speaking of Eichel, he looked very disengaged tonight. So did Staal, and that was before the giveaway.

Reinhart is a ghost away from Eichel. He is such a wimpy player.

Olofsson is useless 5v5.

Dahlin was completely and utterly terrible tonight.

Skinner was noticeable but Krueger has ruined his confidence. I actually saw him playing back a lot tonight, so this whole "Skinner won't buy into Ralph's system/play defense" narrative is a joke.

Miller is god awful. Jokiharju was invisible.

Hutton is unbelievably bad.

We are terribly coached.

I hope the entire organization top-to-bottom gets Covid and has to cease operations this season.

I saw nothing that would lead me to believe this is a different team than last year except Hall. He makes us much better but we still know how to lose games better than anything.

I hope Ralph proves me wrong. Put Cozens or Hall at center on the 2nd line while Staal is out

They literally are not even being coached. The coach literally said he wasn't going to coach them tonight.
- 3rd GM's the charm

They are being coached and from what I saw it was a totally bad effort mostly due to the rust factor. I don’t want to get blasted but Ralph is a good coach and I want to see where their at after 15 games or so.

Joker only played 14 minutes. Him and Miller actually fared very well analytically tonight.

Joker should play 20 minutes a night and the defence won’t look so franking bad

You are very negative about everything it seems. Relax I’m sure Kuemper is on his way. Just going to cost a couple draft picks or some good prospects.

He can’t do that on the top line though
Takes away opportunities from our 2 best players when he screws up
