Agree on the different coach, not sure if we are a playoff team though. We would at least maximize on some of the overpaid guys we have
- lulags

I can see the value of okposo on a third line if given the right guys around him, throw him with skinner and cozens/casey/asplund

or throw him with olofsson on the other wing

we have 5 guys that can be top 6 wingers now, keep 4 up there and put the other on the third line playing 13 or so minutes 5 on 5

the 4th line should be a pest line playing 10 minutes a night

you can fill that 4th line from eakin,. sheahan, lazar, rieder, maybe asplund

build your top 9 around everyone else

he should be fired for the skinner issue alone IMO

he witnessed the hutton struggle first hand last season and kept him on the roster and played him instead of getting a different goalie

all he had to do was tell botts that it was bad and hutton needed to go on ir

those two issues alone get us the one point we needed to make the play in last fall

adams leaned on him for the offseason

so what do we do, overpay for one of our own, and then grab eakin at inflated value which we are stuck with for another season

grab sheahan at the last minute, now we can't play 2 kids in the lineup because they are worried about another team claiming freaking sheahan or lazar

this process f@cking sucks

at this point I will take coach X behind the curtain over what we have

- homiedclown

He should have been fired after the season was over, that was the time to do it. A new coach right know will have the same problems that are going on, a lot of new pieces and not much Chemistry yet.

Bring in Gallant. Send Ralph upstairs. Only because pegs’ loves them some Ralph. It’s the synergetic way!

But you are probably right. Who pointed pegs’ have never kept a coach past two years?

It’s a shame. The team has more talent than they’ve had in a while and it’s just not used or developed properly.

They should haves tossed duds the keys to the franchise but that’d be to smart...

- Gr8daygo

Agree with Duds, and they had there chance, but knew more then him.

Too top heavy if building around the top 9 only.
We need to spread out the scoring down into the Taxi Squad.

If skinner scored on a couple of his 30+ opportunities, Krueger looks brilliant.

We need guys that can score WITHOUT eichel.

Skinner has the talent to do just that. He has looked great this year, aside from the scoring part.....

Olo, sam , tage, hall all have had the opportunity.....

Realistically only hall can really score without eichel...

And skinner....

I'd rather watch Sheahan than Tage personally. At least for now. At least he doesn't (frank) up super bad. Tage needs to score to have any value whatsoever. Sheahan can PK

So, using Sean Tierney's graphs off Charting Hockey site, the game Thursday night in "all situations" shows
~1.8 xGA/60
~1.0 xGF/60

Having watched the game, does anyone really support the natural conclusion that because Ullmark let in 3G's that he should be dinged with a -1.2 GSAVX?
If so, I am clearly missing something and would sincerely love an explanation.

If this Advanced Stat is truly telling us that, I really have to question it as a good barometer of actual play.

It could have been 4-0 after 2 periods and 6-0 at the end of 3. Ullmark was phenomenal

I understand everyone's frustrations, I am right there too. But I don't think changing coaches at this time will benefit anything.
- Buff36

That and they’ve done it so many times. Plus the team is broke, so they’re not firing this guy and paying to to sit on the couch. They can’t.

He has 3 points in 30 career games. He's a disposable Larry at best. At worst he's an AHL player. There are a lot of gripes you could make about Ralph, but Sheahan in the lineup isn't one imo

Agreed.

I am bias (hehehe) against Tage, I admit it, but anyone who is 6'7" and 220 should not play like Bambi. He needs to barrel to the front of the net, stick on the ice and stay there unless the puck goes behind the net...then punish the Dman going for it, win the battle and get the puck to a guy with actual skill...forget the GD pirouette and get back to the front if the net and be a physical menace.

Reminds me of the reality in HS when I was trying out for WR ... at 6'2 and 195 at 16... It was my turn to go out for a pass in try-outs...the pass was high and behind me...I made the adjustment and came down with it. A coach came over after the catch clapping and yelling "Great catch, now come over here in this group...your now an O-lineman" . Lol. Use your size to your advantage was the learning.

he produced with olofsson on the pp, pk and 5 on 5

he has 3 points in 30 nhl games because ralph plays him with larrys
