Because they aren’t the same in terms of value

All teams score PP goals. Unless you are a top 3-5 PP (we’re not) or a bottom 3-5 PP (we’re not) everyone in between is around a few % points of each other by years end and the difference is negligible

Last season for example The Lightning had the 6th most PP goals at 49. The Sabres had the 22nd most at 37

That’s a top 10 and bottom 10 PP within 12 goals of each other over 70 games

At 5 on 5

Minnesota was tied for 5th with 156 goals

The Sabres were 21st with 130

That’s more than double the difference within the same grouping of teams

It’s a lot more important to score when everything is even

- sbroads24

This doesn’t take into account that there’s SO MUCH MORE 5v5 time than PP time

Now do those stats per60,
and PPgoals look much more valuable

The devils won’t have Zajac or their starting goalie due to covid.

How so?

Teams score way less PP goals than they do EV goals.

EV goals are way more important to get consistently

It's why I have to laugh when certain people blame special teams for going 0-3 on a PP one night after they were 5-8 the previous two games.

A majority of teams PP are going to be within a few % of eachother and the difference is a small amount of goals over the entire season

It’s the timing of such goals though is what’s important.

Sam Reinhart’s PP goal got us a point last night.

You’re right when you say that most teams will hover around within a few percent of each other but the good teams have an ability of scoring those goals when it’s imperative that they get them.

Check The Chart which has become the holy grail for evaluation of Goalies after 6 whole games
That shows Blackwood, Wedgewood and MAF as reincarnations of Dom based on their GSAA/60 higher than xGSAA/60

One would say it doesn't matter which Goalie starts against the Sabres this weekend

The stock market is a giant pyramid scheme.

Expose the Hedge Funds. Continue to do what these people have done for years and manipulate the stock market.

12 goals in the second half of his 1st season
14 goals last year, shortened season
0 goals in 8 games this year

Also, from Homies article, this should really bother people.

"You can trade stocks, until you figure out our game, and then you cant, because we lost money"

12. That was interpreted as a direct attack on regular, or "retail" investors, especially since hedge funds could still trade those stocks while regular people were banned.

13. Strangely enough, both parties in Congress are calling for help on the hedge fund and elite investors' reaction to this. But will that strong bipartisan sentiment hold up, especially with trillions of dollars and the richest people in the country involved?

14. So what happens next? GameStop and the other "meme stocks" lost a lot of value yesterday as the apps banned amateur investors from trading it. Congress will most likely get involved in this in some way.

They are placing limits on how many shares you can buy of each on Robinhood.

AG was limited to 5 shares.

I’m Canadian so it doesn’t effect me as I use different brokerages but it’s still a sham.

Sounds like Reinhart is banged up. Didn't practice today. Seems like he got hurt when he was being not tough in front of the net while scoring a goal. I look forward to tall Tage taking his place there and Skinner staying on L4
- jcragcrumple

I felt that cross check he took on that goal. Looked like he took it below where the pads cover. That just hurts...

Sounds good in theory, but these people aren't stupid. I have little faith that they won't figure out a way to come out on top in the end.

Kevin Clancy of Barstool Sports made probably the only good point he's ever made in his life. WallStreetBets did more damage to the Wall Street "elite" in the course of a week than Occupy Wall Street ever did in years.

Taylor Hall and Staal have been incredibly underwhelming so far.

Just amazing how no matter what big names they acquire they never seem to exceed expectations

Guess Beane and Allen had a meeting. Looks like we have a QB that is willing to leave some money on the table to help with building the team, he isn't just giving lip service about loving it here.

Yup. I called it

With the team in search for 5-on-5 scoring, and Sam Reinhart day to day with an upper-body injury, Krueger has pivoted ahead of back-to-back games against the New Jersey Devils in a series that begins Saturday in KeyBank Center at 1 p.m.

Hall, whose seven points through eight games rank second on the Sabres, skated on a line in practice Friday with Eric Staal and Dylan Cozens. Eichel, meanwhile, took rushes with Victor Olofsson and Tage Thompson, who filled in for Reinhart.

Lance Lysowski, Buffalo News.

You will get 1st line Tage and you'll like it!
