I am so sick of those 2. Get rid of one. Team isn't big enough for the both of them to be blundering all the time.

Dahlin and Miller are this years Risto and McCabe... Change my mind

Didn’t a forward get it last year? Like someone thought of as a good player but just bleeds defensively.

Edit: yep, Andreas Athanasiou. That guy sucks and got traded for 2 seconds and Gagner.

Andreas Athanasiou I think. He was top-3 at least

Overplayed IMO.
Jack has stated twice he likes what he sees.
For not scoring a goal yet, Hall is having the time of his life. If he goes, he goes.
I'm not worried about this year.
Kevyn Krueger has kicked the can down the line for 1 year...so, next offseason will again be huge to reshape this team...it is then I expect them to challenge and be well 8nto the mix.

- IonSabres

Don't want to play the "im in the know" card because for the most part im not, but it's very real that he's going to request out by midseason if we aren't competing for a spot.

Orange and yellow zone restrictions lifted only 8 days after election despite higher cases than any time during the restrictions. Imagine ruining people’s lives intentionally just to stay in power. Sick.

Sabres need to sweep these next three games. We can do it. Need to beat up on NY and NJ

[quote=jdfitz77]

Hutton was “ok” in games 2&3
Not “good” and not “terrible”
/quote]
he saved 40 of 42 shots in those 2 games

this is the entire reason why I posted what I did the last 2 days

40 of 42 is not good according to you

all week, hutton sucks

40 of 42

corn dogs jackie

your blaming that for the sabres issues

eichel, hall and reinhart 1 even strength goal amongst them

that is the issue, and special teams

- homiedclown

Actually, I’m not

What I’ve said OVER & OVER & OVER is that i don’t trust it to continue over the course of the season

A handful of games as a sample size is NOT large enough to tell us anything
And you continue to cherry pick the best games from our goalies & exclude the bad ones
OVERALL....
the goalie stats haven’t been good

Are Lazar & Rieder better goal scorers than Jack & Hall?

Or are u just gonna cherry pick which small sample sizes matter & which don’t?

I’m going off a much larger sample size
Jack & Hall will be good
Hutton will NOT
Bc that’s what the last few years of evidence show us

I’ll take what the last 2 or 3 YEARS shows us over 2 or 3 games

U really think if we miss the playoffs again that Hall stays?
If that were the case, why didn’t he just sign long term already?
He’s stated a bunch of times he wants to play on a winner- that’s why he left the Devils & that’s why he didn’t re-sign with ARZ
Gonna be hard to convince him we can win if we miss the playoffs AGAIN

And even Homie has been on here (with his inside info) saying that Jack is fed up
He might be ok again for now....
But if we miss the playoffs again he’s gonna be p!ssed all over again
Maybe he doesn’t ask out- maybe he does-
but I don’t wanna risk it

I think that actually depends on how we miss if we do. If we’re competitive down the stretch I could see it. If we are cooked by mid Feb, see yaz

For me,
it just come down to giving us the best chance to make the playoffs so we don’t even have to worry about it
The most obvious area in need of upgrade imo is Hutton, and it’s not close

Playing on that Detroit team didn't help. He's 3+2 with an even +/- on LA this year

I heard the last 2 weeks, we need better goaltending, that is why we are struggling

honestly, it sounded like when roby was blaming marty and mika during the bankrupt years

team wasn't scoring

the goalies IMO cost them 1 game, the first game

we all pretty much agreed, we needed average goaltending and more 5 on 5 goals and effective special teams

that was our blueprint once we got hall

the pp is hit or miss
the goal scoring 5 on 5 is not good
the pk is blah

the goaltending, is average

I don't blame them for holding the line in net

johansson is coming off of 2 ahl all stars, fine as the taxi goalie
2 blue chip prospects in 6k and portillo

the reason I am making the stance and defending hutton, and ullmark

game one was an outlier, people are acting as if we had 4 or 5 games like that (see nucks, hawks, oilers etc)

I think hutton was fine in his last 2 starts
I think ullmark has been fine
could they be a bit better, yes but you can say that about every sabre except maybe cozens

if ullmark opted out, they would have to overpay and get a goalie

now we are a .500 team with momentum

staal, cozens, reider, olofsson are heating up
risto is playing well
joker is fine

we don't have the assets or cap space to try to get a big name goalie, even if one was available

I am focusing on the last 3 games

not the 3-0 loss or the 2-1 loss where people are screaming goaltending

- homiedclown

With this post you are pretty well summing up the whole argument. Nice job. I’m with you.
