Schedule lightens up a bit now at least
Rangers & Devils are teams we gotta beat if we want a shot at the playoffs
Already started in a bit of a hole, but it’s not too late to get things turned around
Even in some of the losses we were the better team imo

Getting Jack & some of our other scorers going will be huge for us

there is no shame in being the second best team in the AFC

my personal belief is that Baltimore and KC had zero fear for our run game, and simply blanketed our receivers, just like in that Jets game. Our run game has been.. bad. This year.

I will die on the hill that you need an elite passing game to be a perennial SB contender, but you need at the very least a threatening run game to ensure that some coverage is dedicated to stopping the run attack. Christ, Daboll didn't even consider run plays against the Ravens.

Yeah, I am not one to wanna spend big $ on a RB, but I would absolutely be looking for one this offseason.

Moss seems like a perfect 2 back

Singletary seems like a third stringer at this point. He has fumble issues, drop issues, cannot run between the tackles well.... I think he's kind of a bust

Seems like the Bills just don’t trust Singletary to carry a big load, even though he did it pretty well towards the end of his rookie year

Another Beane/McDermott mistake, was passing on Dobbins when he inexplicably fell to us in round2
I sure hope Epenesa works out,
bc Moss just looks very average to me

Our defying under Beane/McDermott has just been average though
I think I’d be ok trading back this year to get extra picks this year & next
Do what the Pats did almost every year

- jdfitz77

What pick do the Bills have now? 29? 30?

I'm more worried about the trench. dont need a great rb if the line can block. I hope they spend draft picks on both sides of the line or spend a bit in fa there. I'm good with most of the position players as it stands. still mostly young and should only get better.

I think Moss and Singletary are essentially the same player, except Moss seems a bit better. I think you need a different type of back to complement.

Singletary is dangerous in space, but the issue is it's tough to get him there when he drops every other pass thrown his way.

Bills being interested in Bell tells me they know they need an upgrade

I don't think they need a great one, and I agree on the line part, but Yeldon and Moss for the most part didn't have issues getting 3-4 yards between the tackles. Singletary did

And i don’t think the Devils are as good as their record so far

Nothing shocking here:
But we gotta start scoring AND the goaltending has to continue to hold up

I think a good blocking offensive line makes everything else obsolete. pick up an undrafted fa back before drafting one for all I care. give me good guards and tackles. plug and play rb at that point.

Singletary is terrible and that is not an exaggeration. He’s scared to go north to south

Moss had no problem doing that

The Sabres have played well. The root of all the losses are hall Eichel and skinner

Once they stop shooting at 1.27%. We will get better record wise

The last couple games. Depth scoring has actually come

I never said they were “shot”
I said that about MAF

I said we need better
I like Ullmark ok, but i like a top5-ish goalie like Kuemper better
Hutton has played well at times for us over the last 2years, but if history shows us anything....
it’s that at some point Hutton will have terrible stretches as well. He’s too inconsistent for me-
and i just don’t trust him

THAT SAID
Both of them are capable of playing well at times
I just don’t trust it to last all season long

*but hopefully it can hold up long enough for us to get in a guy we “know” we can depend on

Moss is VERY average doing that
Singletary lead the NFL in ypc as a rookie

I prefer the guy with the higher ceiling & ability for explosive plays

the cost to acquire said talent is the real question. I dont see kuemper as a top5 goalie, opinions differ. looks like az is asking a top 5 price. let's not go all tim murray at this point. who knows though.

“The cost” imo is the only reasonable argument against bringing in a “Kuemper” type
For me:
I think it’s justified bc i don’t wanna risk losing Hall & Jack,
Bc like I’ve said before- i simply don’t trust that an Ullmark/Hutton tandem can hold up to the standard i think we’ll need to make the playoffs in this very tough division
