I'm mad they lost, but it was a hell of a season, lots of good stuff, with the right tweaks they should be able to take that next step.

See what Beane does this offseason the stuff that needs fixing is doable, my focus would be OLine, Dline, CB, MLB.
- Buff36

why is he focused on Baseball

Otherwise known as "holding".

But that's not an excuse. Chiefs were coached better and played better.

- Powerslave

That's the old Patriots game plan: To hold on every single play from the start of the game and challenge the refs to call it.

He does have a point, though. The D-Line has been average at best for most of the season. Its best game of the year, by far, was that Baltimore game, but it was far from the norm. I would say the same about the Chiefs defense last night. I expect Brady to not have as tough of a night as Allen did.

pretty sure mahomes had at least 2 more seconds to throw each pass
- homiedclown

And more importantly, his receivers by in large were wide ass open all night.

They know which receivers are going to be open simply by the play call due to the great play design by the Chiefs.

They deserve a massive amount of credit for that.

That's because Brady has been around long enough that he has no problem throwing 4 yard passes all night to get the ball out of his hand quickly.

To me, that's the next step in the evolution of Allen.

That Singletary drop on the screen was a huge turning point, and are Oline was bad last night, Feliciano had a bad game.
- Buff36

Chris Jones is a very good player. Tough draw for Feliciano, which looked like 1 on 1 most of the time.

We might be a chris Jones away from beating them

They constructed a top defense last year. It went the other way this year

What I would be more concerned about is how it appears they dont understand FGs dont beat mahomes. They made their bed on being wildly aggresive on offense this year and then sat back when it mattered the most

I was very excited when they actually went for and converted that 4th and 1 early in the game. Thinking it would be go time. Instead they started kicking field goals and punting after being gifted a touchdown by muffed punt

- ieetbred

Good post

The defense would/,could have looked better if the Bill's traded the 1st for a defensive tackle, instead of diggs.

Best Bill's trade possibly ever

We spent more $$$ on the Def line than any team in the league
How did it look yesterday?

Beane/McDermott are NOT perfect
It’s ok to admit their mistakes

- jdfitz77

The bills need a real legit pass rusher.

During the colts and chiefs playoff games .... both QBs literally had all day to throw.

Agree with this, think hopefully having Star back will open up Oliver and Edmunds but definitely need better pass rush.

Yeah, he's the best right now, but it's not like he isn't getting a ridiculous amount of YAC and playing with the best tight end ever who's basically uncoverable

He played poorly for the one game sample size and he's average and Beane told him to break it and not run good routes imo

I don't think Allen was very good vs Baltimore or KC, but it's amazing to me how Daboll get's touted as this offensive mastermind genius OC, yet against certain teams, can't scheme up anything original to get something going.

The whole broadcast talked about how guys were just never open yesterday. So where are these play designs we saw against SF and NE where Lee Smith is running wide open, or McKenzie runs the fake sweep wheel route?

0 50/50 balls dialed up for Davis who's very good at attacking the ball in the air.

We got severely outcoached

all of this is fair. I think it boils down to the guys on the field in the end. it's easy to blame the coaching staff. the chiefs are clearly the best team in the league. it's nothing new really. upgrade the roster, get better all around and come out swinging next year.

The problem is that the Cap is going down,
and we’ve gotta sign Milano & Hyde before we can even make any other improvements in the O-line or D-line or wherever
Not gonna have much $$$ to do that
But i guess we’ll see what happens

The moment was too big for every single player on the Bills roster last night, including the coaching staff.
