One thing I will say is watching other games lately, most teams look like Sh!t. I guess we are not the only ones. Still frustrating though

He is a country rock guy. Carolina is a good album. They are all good if you ask me. He is basically the same age as me and his music has matured with me. From partying in the 20s to family and kids now. So that might mean more to me than some others.

Ok will check out. Sometimes you find stuff by accident. Love this song.

Erik Karlsson never played defence
- Pegullaville

Thanks for adding absolutely nothing to the discussion. But to humor you - He is still a fantastic 5v5 scorer and always has been. He is also an excellent 5v5 goal-scoring defenseman. And always has been.

You are so completely wrong.

A defenseman is supposed to be good at defense, first and foremost. Dahlin is terrible defensively. Hedman has always been good. He also didn't get the power-play time that Dahlin did his first few years. He also is a 5v5 scorer. Hedman didn't struggle. It's complete non-sense to suggest he did.

They are different players. Defensively Dahlin will take a little time. Hope he develops it for all our sake. I’ll leave it there. Hedman developed into a force on both ends, and Dahlin has the potential to.

I just think Hedman always got way more criticism than he deserved for not being an offensive powerhouse his first few years. He did the other stuff right and did it good.

Dahlin was supposed to be an offensive juggernaut. He's been mostly a power-play scorer. On the other hand, he's a liability in his own end. He's almost completely useless 5v5.

He was incredibly young as a rookie. He still is. But we are not seeing flashes of brilliance. We have not seen jaw-dropping plays by him. Blame coaching, blame his age but at some point he has to show something.

He hasn't.

Right, and instead of forcing Dahlin to be something he is not.

Allow him to be a rover and act as a 4th forward.

Morgan Reilly still can’t play defence either .

Very fair, can totally see that. Confidence is definitely shaken from the looks of it as well. He was way more poised as an 18 year old. It is nice to see him put in the work in the offseason, seems really committed. Just need to see that translate to the ice during games. His teammates, including Eichel, have raved about what he can do with the puck during practice. So here’s to hoping he figures it out on both ends. Would be really nice to have a Hedman type back there.

Reports coming in that Deshaun Watson wants to play in New York or Miami.

I don't understand the Jets at all. What does he hope to do in New York that he couldn't in Houston? It would be a lateral move.

But If I'm Miami, I'm all over this if the reports are true. I wouldn't trade Houston their pick back but Tagovailoa in a package? Watson in Miami would be a nightmare for Buffalo - And that's the only way the Bills don't rule the division for the next few years. Miami has to know this.

Okay and? No one is saying they want Dahlin to be a good defensive player. I'd take a Karlsson type any day.

I'm not the coach.

I'd be willing to bet they'd take less than that if Miami offers them back their 1st rounder from this draft. But who knows.

I seriously doubt they get three 1st rounders for Watson from any team. Even New England isn't that dumb and they give 1st rounders away like your grandma gives you those little strawberry candies.

He's made 3 pro bowls in 4 years. Houston is going to get paid, but yeah, maybe not 3 firsts. I can definitely see 2, with maybe a +.

Idk what Tua’s stock is but I’d imagine it’s at least close to a first and second? So prolly pretty close in value. I mean, if Watson goes to Miami, tua is gone

Is this the same Tua I watched all year who:
1. For the most part wouldn’t throw more than 7 yards down field
2. Had his offensive coordinator (Gailey) retire when told they’d be going with Tua again next year

I think Houston will and should get three first for him. Watson, Allen and mahomes are the best three young QBs in football. Think about it this way: Would you trade Allen for three 1st?

Houston really screwed the pooch. They traded away one of the best WR's in the game while having one of the best young QB's in the game. And now that QB wants out. We did the opposite. We had one of the best young QB's in the game and traded for one of the best WR's in the game.

And on top of that, Watson has made clear he wants to play in 1 of 2 places, making it even harder for Houston.

But the Jets will probably be dumb enough to do it.
