I like MAF. Contract be damned, it's an instant upgrade.

So two unproven and a 37 year old $7 million goalie

It's not spending money wisely IMO...unless of course Vegas throws something good to sweeten the pot

It's not my favorite idea but I think it's doable and it gives them a better chance to win this year. Next year would be sketchier in goal unless UPL is good

I don't know if a 36 year old MAF is better than what they have now...

MAF is playing really well this year to start the year.

He’s hot currently.

He 1000% is. He’s playing very well.

We have MAF right now and this team has a winning record, IMO.

Like I said, I've never been a big MAF fan. I'm just posting how the numbers could work
- jcragcrumple

Yeah, i hear ya

He’s risky though, so I’d prefer we look elsewhere

Remember when Laine was a generational goal scorer who was going to win multiple Rocket Richards?

Now it took him and Roslovic to get PLD who is barely a #1 center

Ok.... getting a couple young guys like that could make me think Fleury is worth the risk

That trade is awful for Winnipeg.

Laine had 3 points and the game winning goal last night.

55 year old Hasek at 700 k would be better then 2 years of Maf at 7 mil per
- homiedclown

I’ll bet Hasek is still playing hockey in some local Czech league

I don't think they were comfortable giving him 10 mill a year per on his next contract. I don't love the trade for them but I'd be nervous giving him that kind of money as well.

I've been a proponent of bringing in MAF for a couple of years now. He has always been under-rated. He is a HoF goalie.

His contract isn't horrible, but it's not great. Only 1-year left but remember - The Sabres have nine players with expiring contracts after this season, including Hall.

Ya'll are crazy if you think Okposo is going the other way. Pegula loves him and so does Kreuger.

Vegas has almost no cap space - We have a little over a million. We can pretty much do Montour and Miller for MAF, retain a little on Montour to even out the cap and get a few picks/prospects back. Carl Dahlström can come back the other way with Ivan Morozov, Martins Dzierkals, Layton Ahac and New Jersey's 2nd rounder from this year, Vacouver's 3rd rounder from next year.
