Thing about the Sabres is it isn’t about standings. It’s about the fact that they never seem to have forward momentum. We’ve seen developing teams before, this doesn’t seem to be one.

Yeah Cozen’s seems to be having forward momentum. Jumps right in at 19, doesn’t look out of place, scores his first goal tonight. Cool. Meanwhile Skinner scorer 40 goals 2 years ago, get’s a contract and might was well not exist. Risto was once a steal at 5.6 mil a year, he’s so meh. Mccabe once promising is just meh. Just our luck Eichel can’t score in a shortened season. No one is ever moving in the same direction. What do you do with this?

Boss you make yourself look extremely ignorant each time you post on here. It’s awesome you don’t mind giving money to a losing product, you’re in the minority there.

Last coach with fire was Ruff, NJ is now ahead of the Sabres. It still works.

Edit: Nolan was the last coach with fire, he forced the worst roster in the league to trade multiple goalies to ensure they lost.

You should take a look at the career stats for Ullmark and Hutton as they are not bad at all and definitely not this small sample size.
To clarify the importance of this weekend games i will say small sample size but extremely large importance. The 2 games won’t make a season but will definitely go a long way to show who we have that can play under some pressure. The Caps are ripe for picking so let’s see who shows up to the feast. These are important push back games.

- Camel

So if Jack doesn’t score Sunday,
does that mean he “can’t play under pressure” then?

2 games is too small of a sample size to make any real conclusions

Thanks 36...I get the apprehension as there are numerous A-holes on here that if 1 skinny detail is off...then you are a loser for bringing it up.

That said though, I will say, those are the blow hards. Most on here are decent and like the bantering and trade discussions. So thanks for a bit more info.

Interesting, 2 Dmen out for 2 pieces back.
Gotta be a G as the main piece...so, with 2 D going back ( I assume not Joker nor Dahlin) it is 2 of Risto, Montour, Miller...and the 2nd piece coming back is to balance out the Cap/Salary.
Well, at least that is how My mind is chewing on this.

Gibson and Ben Hutton
For Miller and Mountour

- IonSabres

It’s gonna take higher end pieces than that to get Gibson

All seriousness though we should of traded Eichel over the offseason in this loaded draft along with Sam, Risto, Montour, Miller and Mcabe.

Built around Cozens Joki, Dahlin and everything you got for those trades

Botteril ruined this team with his inept moves. Luckily we have pieces to trade and restart again before our players values sink lower

"Too small of a sample size" has got to be the most annoying thing said on this blog on a regular basis.

Year 6 of Eichel.

Year 8 of Ristolainen.

Year 3 of Dahlin.

7 years of Girgensons.

Year 6 of Ullmark.

Year 6 of Reinhart.

"Give them more time" and "The jury's still out" and "A defenseman takes longer to develop" and "Too small of a sample size" and "Let's see how they do under a new coach" and "We should trade for other team's best young players because that's our missing piece".

Holy Christ this is madness.

The sad reality imo is the only way to fix this and get what we need is to trade Eichel
