Highly debatable

Every time a well known player is moved it's rarely the other teams best prospect that goes the other way.

- sbroads24

Examples? A lot of the time it is picks going the other way. I can't think of too many examples where a top player was given away. I think at the time of the trade Ottawa didn't get a great return for Karlsson but I also think that they (correctly) saw his worth declining. Also, the Sharks weren't flush with young talent.

Win #16 for the Bills this Sunday.

It's been a heckuva ride. The Bills have certainly done us all proud and I believe they will take us to the limit in February in Tampa.

KC is a formidable challenge for sure, but I think that our D can slow down their O just enough to pull out the victory.

IF we get Tampa, all of our demons from the last 30 years will be slayed in one fell swoop. A Championship. In Tampa. Against Brady.

However, if we draw the Packers, I'm not quite as confident that we'll be able to get it done. Rodgers, at age 37, is arguably having his finest season and beating him and a pretty well rounded Packers team will not be easy.

Regardless, this has been the season I expected from the Bills, the 3 losses notwithstanding. I'm ready for at least a half decade of AFC East dominance and that long awaited Championship for our Bills and our community.

- Losman

Rodgers isnt good at football he has only one superbowl win. Average qbs wins superbowls.

If the Bill's lose by 1 point in the superbowl, it would have been better to go 5-11 and pick 8th.

Need to draft a running back and get rid of allen.

Olofsson, Joker, Mitts, 2021 First, and 2021 3rd

Dubois and Korpisalo

- Pegullaville

Why are u trading Jokiharju?
Make that Montour instead at least
And how about Tage instead of Olofsson?

You’re giving up a lot for an “ok” goalie & a 60point player

We can't score 5 on 5

Better play our best 5 on 5 scorer on line 4 with bums then

A dark horse that nobody is talking about that I could see happen if the Ducks really want to tear things down.

John Gibson.

- Pegullaville

I could see mitts, rage, ullmark and a pick for Gibson.

That would lock down the goalie for a few years.
Eichel probably has some USA connections to gibson

This would be a master stroke. And Anaheim would be god damn foolish to do it.

I have always loved Gibson since his world juniors days. That would be awesome

I think that Rodgers is the best QB of this century.

Yet he only won a Super Bowl when he had a top 2 defence.

In his 8 losses in the playoffs the winning team averaged 36 PPG.

Having an elite defence is just as important. Most elite defences have good ground games which compliment the defence in terms of time of possession and field positioning.

Hence why Goroppolo beat Rodgers in the NFC Chanpionship game last year despite Rodgers being the better QB.

through 4 games, the 4 lines have a combined 5 even strength goals
4 if you remove the olofsson goal with an extra skater and hutton out of the net

lazar has 2 of them

- homiedclown

Before last night,
Boston had ZERO 5v5 goals
Idk if any of last night’s were even strength or not

Would be tough to explain trading a goalie whose father just passed away after emphasizing the importance of team camaraderie and “family” in the media.

Yet again, wrong when it comes to the QB topic.

It 100% is Brady.

Most trades?

We didn't get Robert Thomas for ROR

We didn't give up Reinhart for Evander Kane

Hell, the Sharks didn't give up Colin White in the Karlsson deal

Do the Sabres really want another guy with questionable work habits on the ice?

Completely giving up on a play/ game is a warning sign, we've seen way too many times around here.

Aaron Rodgers has the better QB rating.

Also spent a decade making it look like Mike McCarthy was anything more than a below average coach.

Also never had the support of the defences that Brady had.

Despite having turnover at the QB position the Vikings and to a lesser extent the Bears have always had their hand in the cookie jar as well while the Pats got to start the year with 5 if not 6 wins in the bag in the AFC East.

If it weren’t for Favre still being in Green Bay, Rodgers would have played much earlier too and would be in a position of taking out all of Brady’s passing records as well.

The Patriots had better coaching and better defences, hence why they won more often despite Rodgers truly having better numbers.

That’s the honest truth and the right answer if you look past wins and losses being purely a QB statistic. Also if you look beyond SB wins as only a QB statistic as well.

Wrong.

It's important, not even remotely close to as important as the QB

Or maybe that crazy Patrick Kane rumor that’s been around for the last 15 years 😂😂

To be fair. Kane would be that type of trade everyone would be happy about

Anaheim is rebuilding.

May be better to get full value for him now as by the time Anaheim is ready to compete a few years down the line he may not be as valuable.

- Pegullaville

I'm genuinely curious what full value would be for Gibson when he has 6 years left at $6.4M per.

Homie brought him up the other day
Gibson is under contract for 7 more years, at 6.4m
Still fairly young at 27 as well

I’m assuming he’ll cost A LOT

Olofsson + Borgen + 2021 1st rounder

Or Reinhart + 2021 2nd rounder

Those would be my offers

Something does seem to be going on. Chad DeDominicis (who seems pretty locked in) has said multiple times (including today) that Sabres have looked into PLD.
