Borgen, Johansson/Tage, 2022-1st (-$0.9m/-$1.4m out)
For
Kruemper (+$4.5m in)

Hutton goes on Taxi (- $1.045m saved)

Leaves about $650k to $150k to be deleted from Cap after wiping out existing $1.9m Cap Space

Options to close Cap Gap include
- Gus on LTIR for $2.2m
- place another Vet on Taxi or to Rochester, like Tage if AZ takes Johansson
- trade another player

- IonSabres

Trading Borgen, Tage, and the 2022 1st round pick for Kuemper is a poop ton. Why trade that much?

I hope Ellis is busting Mitts ass on the taxi squad, if not one thing Ellis was known for how hard he worked. Maybe get fat ass into some kind of shape.

Mitts is a lost cause. Been here longer than Nylander and is worse. Prob worth a 3rd-4th rd pick to a team that thinks they can salvage him.

Thanks Botts

That's on Mitts, has the talent but doesn't want to put the work in.

Johansson was assigned to the taxi squad Wednesday, per CapFriendly.

I don’t really have high hopes for him
Seems like he could be a decent backup,
but if we had a solid starter & Ullmark as the backup I’d be thrilled

I’m sure it’s annoying that i keep bringing up Kuemper, but if we were to get someone that good then I’d even be “ok” with Hutton as the backup (bc he wouldn’t play much),
and we could send Ullmark over as an attractive piece of the package

Ullmark, Samuelsson?, & a pick
Or something like that?

I’d like to keep Borgen,
but if that’s what it takes.... then sold!

It is three assets, yes.
▪2022-1st HOPEFULLY/(DAMN IT) MUST BE in the 20's by then
▪Borgen is a 3rd pairing with potential to move up
▪Tage and Johansson are both "?" Prospects
I'm not sure that I call that a sh¡t ton, in terms of quality...but recognize there is potential that could be realized elsewhere. To date, that is all those two have shown...potential.
IMO, time to get rid of them for something that can help now.

Btw, thanks for providing the updated chart of relief...I was off by $30k. Tough to keep all that minutia in my head.

Bc we really NEED a “good” goalie,
and we are all assuming that Kuemper won’t come cheap

Also, idk how “much” we are giving up here?
Tage still apparently blows, and Borgen hasn’t been able to crack our lineup yet

For a top10 goalie,
u do that trade every day of the week imo

Except trump doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt after all his bullsh!t

Even the guy he was speaking with (Georgia Governor) took what trump was saying as offensive & extremely shady
And he’s a fellow Republican

Now that trump isn’t in office anymore you’re seeing more & more Reps jump ship EVERY DAY
There’s a reason for that
That speaks more loudly than anything when all his former “allies” are bailing on him

- jdfitz77

You guys really gotta shut the (frank) up. The ban hammer came through here in the summer and it will come again.

The bad thing is that the market is thin and driving up the price for goalies

Funny how u seem to only make this comment to me
I wasn’t even one of the ones who got banned in the summer

- jdfitz77

Several of you yesterday have had obnoxious commentary, and you are personally bashing people for a guy they (frank)ing voted for.

This place isn't the place for it, we were warned before and people will get banned again.

True
But at some point, Arizona is gonna have to realize they’re gonna get less of a return the longer they wait to move him

It’s frustrating we haven’t gotten something done,
but at least we are making calls again & trying

We'll hear some today. I thought I saw that Ullmark was on the ice yesterday? Pure speculation, it sounds like he's dealing with a death. Again, just a guess.

Depends, but they are having money problems, well documented, I believe if the Sabres get a goalie they are a playoff team, defense needs a little work, but good enough to win with better goaltending. They got shut out the other night, but they should have won that game. Elliott kept Philly in that game in the 1st period, we don't get that consistently enough.

That doesn't happen, ever. Hence the reasoning behind the ban hammer. We're on a board, and we live in a country where people can't support a candidate without getting berated and demeaned for it. It's a (frank)ing embarrassment.

Ullmark is certainly no allstar, but he is serviceable.
Hutton is so inconsistent...DOD he have a goal scored on him Tuesday?
I can't remember.

Replacing Hutton with a bonafide starter would do wonders. I'd retain Ullmark.

Yes. His 5v5 sv% is still bottom of the league. Buffalo did him no favors in both Philly and Washington games where they scored 1 total goal, so, if you're going to go with the poopty goalie plan, those pucks need to be going in on 5v5 and the PP. So far, we've been pretty unlucky, as our RPO is like 93 or so. Basically, our expected scoring is way, way low.

I’d much prefer Ullmark too
But if ARZ or whoever wants him, that wouldn’t prevent me from making the deal
