I could swear I recall him wanting a letter as part of his Contract details. Maybe I'm wrong but I could swear someone mentioned that was part of his negotiations - GPerogie
Well that’s just (frank)in stupid then. |

Stop. Flyers have York and Zemula in the pipeline. Why would they want to do that?
- MJL
I get what you're saying, we have a good pipeline, but that's what it is. Are we just punting this year? |

I’m all for fighting for equality among all human rights but in this case you have a well respected player like Wayne Simmonds in the same group, fight for the same cause and this group decides to put the “C” on Evander Kane? - SuperSchennBros
I think he demanded it lol |

I have no idea if this picture is current. Maybe this is the last-year girl. Or the year before girl.
Its a nice picture. Looks like they are having fun. |

I think it’s more AV was close with Hayes and wanted his voice and familiarity to channel to the rest of the team to truly buy into AV’s system. |

Braun is in the top 4. That's not championship caliber imo.
If they improve this year and still keep their pipeline (York, Zamula) why shouldn't they. Their depth is at forward, deal from there. |

Is Braun in the top 4 full time or because Gostisbehere is not available? If I need to explain this and why they shouldn't trade Farabee for a player in a win now situation then that tells me I shouldn't waste any more time trying to.

I'm so sorry you feel you're wasting your precious time. My idea was to trade Farabee for a similarly young D man that can play now, and going forward. Are you saying Ghost is the solution to the top 4? |

I’m wondering where this season’s depth of forwards rank within the last 20 years.

I suppose it should be noted that Simon Gagne, Danny Briere, Claude Giroux, Sean Couturier, Jake Voracek and Scott Hartnell all saw some really good teams. |

Does not make sense. They have York who is most likely NHL ready and Zemula in the pipeline. If Gostisbehere can play well than he is a top 4. This team is not in a place where they should be trading young players in an attempt to win now. The player you describe would not be a significant upgrade.

I would love if he could, but Ghost's last 2 years have been poop. I don't think he can be relied on to be top 4.
Our forward group is deep. Hart will likely be top 10 in the league this year. I think this team is in a place to compete now, with a bit stronger D.

Evander Kane who already has earned almost $53 mil in his career files for bankruptcy today. - Djapana
He is being sued for $9.8 mil debt to a bank. Sharks are being sued as well as they were guarantors of the loan |

Kinda fun looking at the comps. Brought back a lot of memories. Plus... Reminded me of the decline of veterans as they slide down the lines and the need for younger players not just to step up but to really play like top six champion caliber players; reminded me of wishful thinking with the Upshalls and Umbergers of the world; the total miss with running Sharp as a 4th liner; and most of made me miss Jags. I loved him in a flyers uniform. Loved watching him play. |

Someone like Pesce from Carolina would be ideal, but not likely realistic (it would take more than Farabee for sure).
I realize the whole idea is unlikely as RHD is a coveted position that not a lot of teams have depth at. The point is if we're going to win that needs to be done.
York and Zamula will help out in the future, but that will be around the time when G, Voracek and JVR are likely past their best before dates. |

I dont think they were guarantors, as part of a previous attempted bankruptcy settlement I believe they were just basically a direct draw to the bank for payments. Kane then interfered with the direct payments from the team and stopped them from going out.
Not 100% sure but he may have also taken out further loan while the set up was in place and working and then pulled the rug out later.
he's straight shady

100% York is gonna go for a potential ship leading an insanely deep Michigan team. But im personally convinced he becomes a flyer after and gets third pairing time by end of season if he doesn't earn more. |

That's a good pull! Put a hundred down, walk away with +1600
Anyone see any other hockey futures they like?
Hart +1000 for Vezina. Leader is Vasilevsky @ +600 |

Were you the guy who said Sandin was guaranteed a spot? If so what on earth gave you that idea? Same here. Going in? No such thing for any young player. - MJL
I don't think I thought it was "guaranteed" (nothing is guaranteed). When we first signed him, I read the write ups on him. Sounded like a good two way player with some offensive upside. I thought he had a strong chance to make the taxi and team to a lesser extent. Frankly, I thought he was older (like 26-28) and had more experience than the current taxi group. Also, at the time, there were some rumors that Raffl would stay in EU, we weren't sure about Nolan and Lindblom. I thought he'd beat out AA (didn't know that Morin was going to make the switch to forward either). |
