Fair enough.... how has Poehling looked anyway? - obie
Alright I guess but not good enough to make the roster and Bergevin said on TSN 690 that the jury is still out to know if he's an NHL centre or a winger... |

I haven't seen much but clearly they have him in their future plans. My guess is AHL the second he can go there |

Ummm no hate at all.... just no chance he gets picked up on waivers, Perry could - obie
And i didn't mean you, but he is often seen as the scapegoat. I agree and disagree as some teams have a lot of space on the cap and could use him (Byron). Perry, well Habs signed him for league minimum about 2 weeks ago... |

In a cap world middle class guys who get a paycheque almost always get scapegoated, whether fair or not. For my money, or rather for their money, I'd take $3.4 M a year and all the hate and not give the slightest of (frank)s |

I am not Paul Byron nor am i speaking for him. Pretty sure he doesn't give a flying (frank) about what we say or think of him neither, nor should he
But from a hockey point of view, i think he is a very valuable player and when healthy, he can help this team win games, which is all we care right?

Been saying he will be a winger for quite some time now... could be a decent one at that! Habs could use him as a LW more so than at C |

And my point was coming out of training camp Habs brass clearly thinks PB helps them win more games in 2021 than CP |

well hopefully there were already talks between him and the team concerning his role, he certainly wasn't expecting to play in the top 6 lol - Pat1993
I sure hope so |

"IF" he can play top 9 minutes at LW next year it makes Tatar's situation even more intriguing. But that's a massive IF |

Yes and we can agree on that. Will also be interesting to see if Jake Evans can hold the 4C spot. IMO, the most improved player this year will be KK. So far, he looks rock solid and improved his shot, which wasn't bad in the first place. Having Toffoli instead of Lekhonen on his left won't hurt him neither. |

Having depth at C is a nice luxury I'm not used to. Now if one of them can step up and become a 2nd tier top line C (they won't ever make the McDavid tier, fight me) I'd be really enthusiastic about their chances |

Agreed, it will also push Danault out of the top 6, he just fits the bill for 3rd line duties. But the kids will need to earn it, but with the recent acquisitions, MB gave them the tools to do so, as opposing to last year. Should be a fun season. Romanov is interting as well, kid is a work horse, the kind of athlete I like. |
