Santo is now an expert on the Vaccine, about 9 months ago, Covid was no worse than the flu and I was an alarmist when I made a rough extimate that 1.5 Million would die. Boy my estimate was woefully low and your comments hold little water on this subject.

Do not put words in my mouth.

I and along with the majority of the public are not happy with Canadas vaccine rollout, that is my opinion and the majority of peoples opinion and deal with it.

i personally think the roll-out of these new 'vaccines' (since not really classical in their approach) is rushed due to political reasons (understandeable, but still).
i am very afraid what could happen to vaccine acceptancy in general if there would be any safety concerns that rise up -- plus the safety issues obviously potentially influencing people's health.
would strongly recommend to anyone under 60 to wait this out a bit, and potentially go for a different vaccine than the pfizer/moderna ones - the ones based on a different platform with stronger safety data related to them.

Poops about to get real, yo.

Rural parts of the US are going to see a huge surge in deaths - they will be overwhelmed.

I think you're exaggerating the effect of the virus here.

After all, it's been proven that people die from non-covid related causes almost every day.

I have no opinion on it. I’ll stay in my little cave, content as can be, until someone tells me it’s my turn. My dad is 87, sister has diabetes, they are cool with things, so I am cool with things.

I am not fully agreeing with you here...As for me I am not complaining, I dont want mine right away. My father will probably get his in a month but he is more than happy he isn't getting it now.

I am not happy with our rollout but that can change, at the moment its been poor on many levels. Nurses are volunteering and they aren't even getting back to them.

I have family who run two separate ER departments in Ontario, its been messy and unorganized for them and they now both have their shots.

Governments have been defunding health care in Ontario for years and nobody really complained because (frank) taxes. Different story now

It’s hard not to feel a little guilty. Nothing has really changed for us outside of some minor inconveniences. Need to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes to truly get some perspective, although my imagination is pretty good.
Good luck and well wishes to those who need it.

Actually, a lot of people complained....but a little lower taxes (which never really occured) was all some cared about.

Based on developments in other countries and regions, I think you're not hundred percent right here.

Governments have been too interventional with their healthcare spending -- trying to make healthcare systems 'more efficient'. This means in reality -- more managers and less nurses and doctors.
The (semi)privitization approach by (semi)public healthcare systems means that the difficult cases are getting no attention - and you have a lot of hospitals focusing on non-essential healthcare where margins are high (e.g. IVF, hip replacements, cosmetic surgery, etc.).

Patients are turned into 'clients/customers' -- and the hospitals focus on those cases with best margins.
Infectious diseases (and ICU cases) in general aren't that 'sexy' (from a economic point of view at least) -- and when you have a pandemic outbreak of an infectious disease - this is what happens.

He's being put on Waiver so he can join the Taxi Squad. If someone picks him off, it's to play him.

We already lost Juulsen.

Agreed ; I have a colleague (about 30 years old) and a friend (about 40 years old) both had covid about 3 months ago, have not regained their sense of smell, still have effects and spells of dizziness. Were both told by two differnent doctors that there will likely be permanent damage to lungs. Cowboys (retrumplicans and albertans)who are cavalier about it and do not practice distancing and wearing masks may be in for a day of reckoning.

Yeah and nurses get the brunt of it.

About 20 years ago nurses had to work for free for one day a year.

And they still get gut punched in all different kind of ways.
