@NYIslanders fined for Non Cap Compliance after signing Matt Barzal before Johnny Boychuck’s LTIR kicks in at the start of the season." Nyisles7

"Vanish like NiteIslander from this blog?" Nyisles7

I don't spend my weekend in front of a computer and if you think I am going to check on Here to see what's up on my days off that would be incorrect. weren't you and the other "OH MY GOD THE WORLD IS ENDING" SES111 saying that Barzal was a "goner" ...

lol. You still don't understand how the cap works nor how LTIR works by the way. Your joke up top is dumb... I never said they couldn't be over 10% over the cap during the summer.. in fact I restated that many times. What I said is they can't use LTIR to get under the cap. They have to Waive a LOT of guys now to be cap compliant.

To answer Upstate Isles question.. waiving Ladd would save only $1 mill off cap. Not his whole number.

I think there will be a trade.

Maybe Hickey to the wings, it was reportedly close but also they need to be over the full amount of Boychuks hit when he's ltir or they lose it if they do it early

If Hickey clears they only save $1mill as well.

My guess is they are trying very hard to move Leo and hoping Hickey gets taken.

When did I post Barzal was a goner? I had no doubt Barzal would be signed. I've always been concerned with the Cap because it's an issue Covid or no Covid.

Considering it’s a post from the guy that starts most of his posts on here with;

“All of you on here we’re losing your minds and freaking out” when it’s never the case with whatever he is referring too I wouldn’t put much thought into it.

Dude you are a Tool. You flat out said the Islander's couldn't sign Barzal until the 1st day of the season because there was no cap space because JB's LTIR didn't kick in until then, to the point where you asked me to admit you where right if they did sign him on the first day of the season and now your are trying to say I still don't know what I'm talking about
I'm sorry but you are (frank)ing stupider than I thought.
Lastly there isn't a team in any season not only this one that has to waive players before the season starts to have their opening day rosters in check.

I think Leo would have been waived if Casey didn't go down.

"With Barzal looking like a goner, I read that Pageau has been filling in at 1C in practice. However, longer term, I'm thinking this is Ross Johnston's position to lose. Thoughts?"

Only thing said was it isn't as bad as originally thought but lips are sealed in Lou's world.

This guy makes a good point

Further to this it wouldn’t surprise me if Ladd’s name is on the roster submitted tomorrow for the purposes of getting as close the 87.5 as possible and then subsequently sent down on Wednesday or Thursday in which case Timashovs contract might not be announced til then #isles

This may all be juggling to get the most out of ltir

Leo can center that 4th line and play Casey's PK Minutes as well.
I think once Caseys back Leo hits waivers unless he impresses. Just my opinion of course.

What's with the horrific earwax ad I saw when looking through the comments while eating lunch? Ek's way of getting us to pay for the ad-free version?
