Provorov took a slapshot to what I think was his foot. He was down for a bit in obvious pain.
Waiting to see if he is on the ice for the next period. - MBFlyerfan
They said he is back on bench, "Russian machine," etc. |

I assume then you guys have seen Unforgotten, Prime Suspect, Broadchurch, Happy Valley and especially Foyle's War. Some of the more touted ones (Crown, Downtown Abbey, Sherlock, Peaky Blinders) I could not bear watching because I found them pretentious. Your mileage may vary.
But the best tv series we saw durng this confinement came from the non-English speaking world.
Broen (Sweden), Bergen (Denmark), Bureau (France), Trapped (Iceland), Forbrydelsen (Denmark), Patal Lok (India) are all really, really good. - PT21
Haven’t watched Foyles War. I’ll have to check it out. As for non-English speaking I really liked Trapped. Wasn’t crazy about Borgen. I don’t think we made it past the first episode. I saw another series from Denmark that I really liked; Herrens Veje. It’s not a detective show. Was Forbrydelsen remade in America (The Killing)? I thought Criminal was good. There were four versions of it; UK, Germany, France and Spain. There are a few good American detective series too. I thought The Sinner and Mindhunter were good. |

Provorov on the ice. That tells me he is fine. They would have held him out even if it was a minor injury IMO. |

Foyle's war is a masterpiece imo. Set during ww2, but war is a backdrop. The whole premise is: what good is attending to small town crimes when the whole world is going to hell? The Chief's sleuth Foyle's son is a RAF pilot.
Loved Borgen largely because it made democracy so sexy without all the drama of sex, killings etc. The characters are so fleshed out and the issues are so intellectual and earnest.
Forbrydelsen is indeed original of Killing, but far, far better. But unavailable here. You would have stream from places like amazon.co.uk and that would require someone in Great Britain giving you access.
I am definitely going to check out the others you mentioned. Thanks.
I am holding out watching Dark, which everyone raves about . Kingkenzo in particular is a Dark expert. |

I only made it though a few episodes of Dark. Maybe I should revisit it?
I kind of liked The Crown. The production values were amazing and the acting was really good. I find the concept of royalty so foreign and ridiculous that I never really paid any attention to the Royal Family, so it was interesting learning about it. |

Agreed, when all healthy.
Enjoyed the scrimmage. Team white with lines 3 and 4 as base, looked solid.
Showed the team depth as 1st and 2nd normal lines didnt overwhelm.
We definitely need work on shootout scoring

Gave Fauda and Gomorrah a shot because of hype. Found them stereotypical and chucked.

Im not looking for Citizen Kanes
Gomorrah doesnt pull any punches. Its brutally intense. I like that they dont try to make anybody redeemable and rootable. Theyre all sociopaths and the utmost level of scumbagdom |

We may have given up too early but the first 2 episodes we watched seemed tge usual mob stuff/variations on the theme of Scorsese transplanted to Southern Italy.
EDIT: Also, given how exercised you have been in the recent past about this topic, just want to make sure you are talking about a tv show and not the poster known as login. |

It takes half of season one to really get going but once it does there is an "oh (frank)" moment in every ep. The story stays cohesive and doesnt suspend belief of logic to move the plot. Given what it is its really well done and savage |
