In response to Dave Brown I see what you're saying but let's give Fletcher the same length in office as Hextall then we can compare. |

What has Fletcher done that we would miss hextall? Fletcher has done a great job with this team. He hasn’t sold the farm and his signings have been great. No one could have known Nisky would retire. Braun is what he is, overpaid but it doesn’t matter. |

Has anyone seen a price for the Center Ice Package yet ? I am hoping they don't charge full price for an abbreviated season....The NHLTV package is $99 but we are not making the tech switch from the cablesnake to all streaming right now. TIA! - RajaAmpat
They’re charging me $63 for the season (just Flyers games though). I think that’s about what I paid last year, so I doesn’t look like they’re prorating for the shortened season. |

I don’t think JvR has been a mistake. I don’t think he’s been used properly. Signing a proven goal scorer and placing him on the third line, while offering second unit PP unit is a mistake. Had JvR not got hurt his first season back as a Flyer, JvR would have scored 30 plus easily. We need a legitimate presence around the net.
I’ve said since Hayes was signed that I think he’s the guy that hurts the line up long term. I stand by this. As long as Sean Couturier, Nolan Patrick and Kevin Hayes are in this line up, Morgan Frost has a tough hill the climb.
JvR will always be the easy target but at some point JvR, Voracek and Giroux are all going to have to go. The problem is, G and Jake will likely get to go out on their own terms if they’re decently productive. - SuperSchennBros
Again, JVR's career-high goal season in Toronto came with him on the third line at ES. It's the PP time, not his ES line, that is the key. |

Thanks for the info...We are getting the Comcast Sports Channels that carry the Flyers games and have the NHL Network with our current triple play.. I used to get the Center Ice pkg. so we could get HNIC on Saturday night which was always fun but then they were giving their early game on the NHL Network.. they were putting other NHL games on the Comcast Channels and the NHL Network was giving some as well on weeknights..having gotten hooked on Brit detective shows the last 9 months am spending some time daily on Acorn/Masterpiece Theater...the eyeballs can only take so much screen time.. |

Single team package is 10 bucks cheaper. 10 dollars is worth the rivalries you will see this year. |

My wife and I are also hooked on the Brit detective shows. I think we’ve worked our way through everything good on Masterpiece, Netflix and Amazon. Been thinking about getting Acorn. Now that hockey is starting up again I guess it can wait until the season is over. |

If we stay healthy we have one of the deepest pools of 20ish goal soring forwards (12)in the NHL. The return of Oscar and NoPa was key, and not unlikely, and will make this team formidable even without any true elite players. Its also the reason Fletch didnt heed the relentless consternation from fans begging for top 6 forward acquisition activity.
Assuming we lose a couple of forwards to injury during the season, we need Allison, Frost, Laczynski, and Sundin to step up and play to professional levels. I am not certain of the lines and their chemistry levels, thats a job for the coaches, not the fans. Let's hope the team stays relatively healthy in 2021, esp our goalies, where depth there is suboptimal despite many draft picks in past 6 years.
However, if the recoveries from NoPa and Oscar get thwarted and we suffer other injuries, we will prob need reinforcements from outside the organization. One would expect to lose some assets at that point.
Lets wish the boys a happy, healthy, and very hockey prosperous 2021!
It would be nice to get a moment with the Cup someplace around town this summer. |

Braun “overpaid” at 1.8m seems paltry compared to the Hextall contracts, Voracek 8.25m, JVR 7m and Ghost 4.5m. |

Bill, this is bullpoop. Absolute bullpoop. You’re selling bullpoop.
James van Riemsdyk and Tyler Bozak were the top line for years next to Phil Kessel and were only moved back to the “third line” due to the drafting of Austin Matthews. When JvR reached that career high, Mitch Marner was their RW. You tell me who JvR played with on the third line last season who plays at a Marner level. This is the same tired argument and it’s misleading. |

Tanner graced everyone with his presence yesterday and went full-on Tanner. It was a shizzshow. As an aside, he did admit that he was fired...shocker. How he still has an account on here is beyond me. |

Hextall signed JvR and Elliott but I guess you mean drafted players.
A colossally bad signing. I've read the stuff about how JvR is a great student of the game (and likely wants to become a coach) and how "he's gonna give you 25 goals guaranteed" but I'm with coach in the benchings. He had it easy in Toronto and should have been much better there. I was out of my mind at that signing in the cap era. He topped out in Toronto, no upside to mine.
I was reading the latest article on Briere. Loved him as a Flyer but it reminded me of his original signing, when Homer explained later that he put out the same offer to Drury and Briere to make sure he got one of them, but he didn't care a lot which. Can you imagine if we had gotten Drury instead at the same long massive contract? |

It means essentially that he played 3rd line minutes (wherever he played, whoever he played with). However was clearly seen as a pp weapon. |

So what’s more important? The minutes you get or the talent you play with? If Crosby in his prime plays third line minutes, is he less likely to be great? |
