I don’t think Mtl would play ball, they need Lindgren as an insurance policy if something happens to either of their top2 goalies, they don’t want to rush Primeau in the NHL.

I don't disagree that he is a good insurance policy for Montreal, but, he is one if the vey, very, few goalies that will become available through either a trade or the Habs can waive him.
I am pretty sure he will be a better back up than currently exists for several of the teams like New Jersey, Detroit,, etc.
If I am Mtl, I am going to try get something for him, after-all they do have a 26 year old Russian to play 3rd string, and use Primeau only if they have to.

Teams have to carry three goalies this year whether you have one of them as one of the three scratches on a 23 man roster or as one of the 4 to 6 guys on the taxi squad, not sure if goalies are waiver exempt from being sent to the taxi squad though, can't see the Coyotes risking either of Hill or Raanta on waivers.
