If you haven't seen it he's amazing in Uncut Gems. The movie is decent but his performance was really good in a non comedic role

yeah I read that. actually the reason i watched Spanglish is the director (James L Brooks) who made a few very good movies prior to Spanglsih. he stated that he offered the role to Sandler after seeing him in Uncut Gems.
