The book about the tyranny of big tech was blocked by big tech. I'm shocked.

The publisher is big tech? For me it's more that I'm opposed to anything that blocks out a voice, regardless of whether I want to hear that voice

No one is blocking out his voice, though. He has every right to bring it to another publisher or self-publish. It's a simple business decision. They don't think it will sell and make the company any profits.

Unless the RNC buys hundreds of thousands of copies to send to donors like it did for Jr, I'm pretty sure either way there aren't many people buying this

if that were the case then about 90% of crappy political books wouldn't have been published in the last 4 years

Sounds more like bowing to public pressure or giving in the cancel culture. Call it what you want but if they wanted to publish the book in the first place and are no longer doing so it is tough to view it any other way. I think there is a clear line between somebody who was playing politics to gain power but operating legally and those that clearly fomented violence and the distinction should matter. Freedom is either for everybody or for nobody

this has nothing to do with freedom. its a private company and they can make any decision they want. thems the breaks.

the landscape has changed on his image.

if it was about freedom, then they would have to publish any manuscript they get.

I don't disagree other than it becomes a slippery slope at some point. A book about big tech is being shut down because a politican pulled some greasy but legal politician poop and the cancelation has begun. I don't think highly of the guy but also don't think this is right

A book filled with Hawley's lies. Again. Why is it a slippery slope? some poop needs to be canceled. companies react to outside pressure all the time. people need to stop believing it is something new. there more access to information about it for sure.

if this was about 1st Amendment issues, I would defend his right to publish any piece of crap he wants. It isn't. if he feels this book is so important then he can use his own resources to get it published. now, if the government steps in and censors it, its a huge problem in my world.
