Nothing has been twisted in any way.

The moment you asked me if I knew the difference between convicted and changed, was the moment you twisted the point in the direction you wanted to go in. He wasn’t convicted, so free pass for the president. Sorry for the family’s luck. That’s really human of you.

LOL, this is complete hyperbole. A few idiots decided to break into the capital. An insurrection orchestrated by the President. What a bunch of foolish nonsense.

You said Floyd was murdered. Unless I missed the trial that is false. Is it not?

Is the president supposed to show support to every family where the ending was tragic and fatal?

Not hysterical. Sad. Easy to see who the biggest rat in DC is. He’s the guy who professed his love for those people you called idiots.

It doesn’t matter. It was a high profile killing, caught on camera, which upset, possibly put fear into an entire community that believes they can’t trust police officers with their safety.

Now the reason why your line of questioning is irrelevant is it has nothing to do with today. Trump didn’t speak in supported of that community. Their voices were not heard, so they rioted. Which left the door wide open for today.

Man! For a guy who feels like he’s done zero twisting, we sure did a lot of driving in the wrong direction as you tried desperately to take the focus off of what went down today.

You brought up Floyd. Not I. You started his conversation not I. So who took the focus off today?

They rioted and caused a path of destruction as that is the M.O. and playbook.

I brought up George Floyd. You’re right. I also gave a reason, which you ignored. Your last statement is absolute bullpoop. You’re suggesting riots are common, they’re not.

No, I suspect it is because he actually read the blog.

"There was a nervous moment in the second half when Morin attempted to throw a check on Max Willman and accidentally made heavy contact with Nolan Patrick."

By the way, unrelated more technical points which I wanted to separate.

1. The worst affected city in the riots was Minneapolis. It has over 100k buildings. The total damaged was 700, including non-arson damage. So please stop with the "cities were burned" rhetoric. If cities were burned then you were stabbed to death every time you had a cut, and this is no way diminishing any such cut.

2. Second, over 95% of the protests were entirely peaceful. This is from the Heritage Foundation. So, the "mostly peaceful" protests should not be used as sarcasm. It is in fact an understatement, and correct.

3. We have had far, far worse riots in modern US history. Rodney King, Chicago, LA in the sixties and so on.

There has not been anything like what happened today. Just check the world press if you want to see how this is being perceived. This is on front pages everywhere, around the world.

That was nowhere near true during the summer violence.

- PT21

Your a clown. So trying to burn down police precincts with police in the buildings, shooting commercial grade fireworks at police and throwing Molotov cocktails at them was peaceful.
Has a Chaz been formed in DC?

Excuse me if I have zero trust for any news source to actually be honest about what is really happening in DC.
Your ilk is inviting civil war and I’m afraid it might come to that. Get off your high horse.
I did not like Obama but I went to work everyday and asked to be left alone. Instead I’m called a racist, transphobic, told I only have what I accomplished in life is because I’m white.
I’m expected to not speak up when state and local governments break laws that would put you or I in prison and there is no accountability.
I’m expected to pay more in taxes to help those in need as the government prints money at will and devalues the dollar.
Sure let’s all stay home while friends and family see their businesses and livihoods crushed because power hungry politicians think they are so much smarter than anyone else.
If you don’t think there was major corruption this past presidential election then you aren’t willing to accept reality.
That makes you the problem.
BLM the organization is a Marxist oriented group and I will never support them.

Criticize Trump all you want as it’s your right. Excuse me though as I see little concern on your part for the corruption from democrats.
I have zero faith in almost all of the elected officials in DC.
These people are to serve the people of this country and instead they act as rulers.
For someone who thinks they are educated you have limited knowledge of civics and how this republic was constructed.

You get very exercised by incidents like Floyd, and I understand, but I don't think that's very representative. Its too extreme. Its an outlier.

What you will see now is a general climate created where people will talk about voter fraud etc. (even though there is no evidence whatsoever), in order to restrict minority votes, under the guise of "only legal" voting. Because there is a higher chance of minority communities having a criminal past, and because of the past history of discrimination, they are notoriously loath to engage with any official actions relating to ID, and so are their relatives, girlfriends etc.

So, the imposition of such laws will have what is known as a "disparate effect" and this is not coincidental. It is intentional. It is "soft racism". That will affect minority communities indirectly much more than Floyd.

Read your post that I replied to. You are equating to what happened today as more serious than any protests or rioting that occurred throughout the country earlier this year.
I brought up specific cases.
Now I know you can’t read those in a text book so it’s hard for you to grasp but that’s not my problem.
I’ve heard reports that antifa embedded themselves with Trump supporters.
I don’t know if that’s true. It is possible because it has already happened.
I’m sure there are Trump supporters who are scumbags and if they burn loot murder they have to be arrested and prosecuted.
Do not compare freedom loving Americans to anarchists that we watched all year burn cities and destroy businesses.

You’re out of you’re mind if you think his reaction to today’s attack on the Capitol building is overblown. This is an historic event and is absolutely worse than any of the rioting related to BLM. An insurrection against the USA orchestrated by the president of the USA!?! If that’s not a big deal I’m not sure what is.
- Dkos

Well, the rioting and looting that took place in cities across the country this summer cost 1-2 Billion in property damage along with scores of ruined businesses, whole sections of major cities that will take years to recover and accompanying violence. Not to put too fine a point on it, but that’s kind of really bad in it’s own right.

On a hockey note...god forbid....wouldn’t it be a spectacular development in camp if Ghost returns to his form from a couple years back...when he played top minutes. How much better is their D if that happens? Ghost as Robin to Provy’s Batman. Bill mentioned that the pairing looked good today...not saying it’s likely just trying to comment on Bills blog and something that stood out.

This part?

"Second, over 95% of the protests were entirely peaceful. This is from the Heritage Foundation. So, the "mostly peaceful" protests should not be used as sarcasm. It is in fact an understatement, and correct."

The # 95% is a number 5 less than 100%. The word mostly means majority but not all.

You are equating to what happened today as more serious than any protests or rioting that occurred throughout the country earlier this year.
- bird_dog_pa

Yes. And if you had the reasoning capacity of a first grader, you would have known that the more serious part does not stem from $ damage, # of lives lost, or # of Molotov cocktails thrown. It stems from the symbolism.

So...I disagree that Ghost's has lost form. I just think he has lost some mobility and players know how to play him. So, I think its unlikely.

It’s good to see that Shayne is off to a positive start. It’d be nice to see him rebound and return to form....what a boost that would be! Fingers crossed there.

I think the last four years is exactly why we saw men dressed like extras from the movie mad max wearing bull horns were able to do what they did today. Calling coronavirus, the China virus is wrong because his Minions will attack Chinese restaurants. I think when your first order of business is to build a wall in southern boards is worded as “to keep those people out” is wrong. I’m really, really thankful Korea didn’t nuke us a couple years back and with this second chance, you’d think he’d start using his words properly and do the right things.

Did say he feels better then he’s felt in last two years health wise...then again I’ve heard that from other athletes that try to explain a drop in their play...I guess we’ll see.

I hope it happens. Do I think it will? Nope! I think Ghost is a titanic downgrade to what Niskanen offers.
