If he comes out of this unscathed then it hopefully will add to his confidence that he is back..(ie he feels fine tomorrow)....hopefully he can get through to the regular season.

I do not think that people are supporting it; they are pointing out that if individuals supported the "mostly" peaceful protests over the summer, the establishment of chaz, and the looting and burning of multiple cities, yet object to this are hypocrites, and they do not support views that differ from their own; these actions show that only one view, their view is to be supported and championed.

If Trump goes to Minnesota and speaks to the people of Minnesota in support of George Floyd, riots likely never happen. You can say that I don’t know that but what Trump doesn’t realize is, making America great again isn’t just about money. It’s about showing support, which transitions to faith in a better future for the country. He failed there.

Regardless of what people think of BLM, at least their message is clear. Equal rights for black people. What we saw today was...what? I love you Donald Trump and I’ll do anything for you?? Well he was clearly flattered as he poured gasoline on today’s fire. Even his most hard-core fan would probably listen to him if he took to Twitter and told him to go home, and that he doesn’t support this. Nah, he just spoke that he was screwed in the poles, which there is no proof of.

By the way, unrelated more technical points which I wanted to separate.

1. The worst affected city in the riots was Minneapolis. It has over 100k buildings. The total damaged was 700, including non-arson damage. So please stop with the "cities were burned" rhetoric. If cities were burned then you were stabbed to death every time you had a cut, and this is no way diminishing any such cut.

2. Second, over 95% of the protests were entirely peaceful. This is from the Heritage Foundation. So, the "mostly peaceful" protests should not be used as sarcasm. It is in fact an understatement, and correct.

3. We have had far, far worse riots in modern US history. Rodney King, Chicago, LA in the sixties and so on.

There has not been anything like what happened today. Just check the world press if you want to see how this is being perceived. This is on front pages everywhere, around the world.

That was nowhere near true during the summer violence.

Get rid of the nuclear family for starters.

Just curios why you think he should have supported George Floyd.

People can support the cause of the BLM protests, and the protests themselves, as I very strongly do, while condemning in harsh terms the violence associated with the morons who caused it.

- PT21

There is no difference between those groups of people. One and the same.

People can also support Trump, and condemn the violence today, as I am sure many do.

- PT21

Of course they do. What can also happen is that those that don't support Trump can also realize that he is not responsible for the violence today. I doubt many do.

This is the first time in the last forever in US history that a President has refused to accept results after the electoral college votes.

This is the first time that a President has called a rally asking for disruption and delay of certification.

- PT21

You could argue for the good of the country he should concede and bow out. However there is also the argument that with the massive and wide spread fraud in this election as well as elections laws broken that he shouldn't. That our country and our democracy is at stake because it is.

This is the first time a mob has taken over the US Capitol.

- PT21

Hyperbole. That did not happen.

You’re joking, right? I understand if the most basic of people are ignoring statistics for their own motivation but the fact is a black man was caught on camera being murdered by a police officer. The black community was rightfully upset. BLM was well already in motion. The president flys to that state and says one speech apologizing to his family and it’s done.

My question to you now is, why would he support today’s Chaos at the capital? Because he did.

You do need to look not just the raw incidents but their symbolic value. For the same reason that a drug related shooting in Philly =/ to JFK assassination.

This is the first time in the last forever in US history that a President has refused to accept results after the electoral college votes.

This is the first time that a President has called a rally asking for disruption and delay of certification.

This is the first time a mob has taken over the US Capitol.

And many more.

One can condemn both form of violence, but it is nonsense to equate the level of horrendousness of the two and believe you are providing some form of enlightened moderation if you do. You are simply incapable of gradation.

That's nonsense. For weeks and weeks, liberal democrat cities saw nightly riots and looting. For weeks at a time. Billions in dollars of damage occurred. Police stations were attacked and barricaded and set on fire with police inside! Orchestrated and organized riots took place all over the country for weeks. The overwhelming number of protests were violent. As liberal democrat governors and mayors closed their eyes and let it occur. Bands of groups even occupied areas of cities and claimed to be independent of police and government control.
In Philadelphia alone, all the major strips of business were damaged, looted and broken into. All drug store, wawa's, stores. All boarded up. For miles and miles. In my business we had to open repair and replace over 500 ATM's in the Philadelphia area that were damaged and attempted to break into. We made a small fortune from the results of what you claim is 95% peaceful protests. My local mall had entrances barricaded with concrete and the National Guard deployed for two weeks. In NE Phila! LOL. Peaceful protests. What a buffoon.

If you believe that 95% of the protests were peaceful, you're either brain washed or an idiot. In your case, some of both

You're overblowing what happened today. It was an isolated incident that occurred for a short period of time versus riots and looting that happened every night for weeks at a time in major cities all over the country. Stating that what happened today was worse makes you look like an idiot. You are clueless and brainwashed.

I read he condemned it, is that incorrect?

Murdered? Was he convicted in a court of law yet?

"Today's violent assault on our Capitol, an effort to subjugate American democracy by mob rule, was fomented by Mr. Trump," Jim Mattis said in a statement provided to Military.com.

There are many, many others, including Liz Cheney and some others.
