Big kid that never really has used his size to his advantage other than parking in front of the net. Would be a decent 4th liner.

I'd be okay if Ward decides to keep Money and Johnny together (as long as they are scoring), but I'm really hoping that he commits to splitting them up this year. Tkachuk and Johnny are our two best playmakers, Lindholm has a good enough shot to be Johnny's trigger man and I think Tkachuk would do a better job of dragging Monahan into the game on a regular basis.

Something like

Tkachuk Monahan Dube
Lucic Backlund Bennett
Simon* Ryan Leivo/Rinaldo*

*Two spots on the 4th line should be reserved for next man up/whomever steals those spots.

If this team can find a way to continually roll all 4 lines and all 3 sets of d, then I like our chances.

I’m not a huge Kylington fan but I’d prefer the Flames to swing a deal rather than losing him on the waiver wire.

With every team having to sneak between 10 and 15 players through waivers he has 0 trade value. Maybe a 6th round pick.

I disagree with that but he's not getting us something to fit a need we currently have. Unless he finds a different level to his game and steps up this season, he'd be an add on piece in any deal.

Todd, I generally don't gripe but there was a red/white game last night that was broadcast... It would be nice to have some insight on who played well, potential final lineup, taxi squad.... Theres a thousand storylines here right now.

Are you new? How is he supposed to give insight when they don't send intrasquad stats to the graph websites? Has he ever commented on something from watching the game? I wouldn't be surprised if he's never actually seen the Flames play.

Hanifin looked great. The core of the team is ready to play. Nordstrom is both small and unskilled lol. Simon looks like a steal of a pickup.

Was wondering that too. I would guess that they’re trying to get their trifecta tuned up for Thursday as much as they can. Probably wanted one last look at Rittich and Domingue. They don’t look that far apart.

The hard truth is Ritter is likely gone after this season and his cap hit could be used. New Jersey needs a goalie..

Wouldn't be surprised if MAF ends up there either... Wouldn't mind a deal that gets us literally any asset as opposed to letting him walk, but I think Tre will hold the 3 goalies in the event someone goes down early.
