Back to hockey - I watched the game sporadically throughout the night until 11:30PM and thought the USA played as well as, if not better than Canada. A clean win, IMHO. Congrats team USA!

Big night for USA Hockey for sure, but you have to give a TON of credit to the Anaheim Ducks organization. Their hands were all over this win.

Outside of drafting 2 of Team USAs Dmen, Canada’s 1/2 Dman, and two US forwards (1 of which was the tournament MVP), Cam York and Ryan Johnson both started their careers as Junior Ducks, running around Anaheim ice. This was an equally huge night for the Ducks organization and the Samuelis!

Had me on the edge of my seat, and that's all I ask! Great effort by USA, they really came out hard and played as a team. Saw a little too much selfishness from some of the Canadian players. Not passing it to the open man and trying to shoot through 3 or 4 guys instead. Also the fancy little around the back passes. WTF were those and why so many? That might work against the Krauts but it's not gonna fly in a gold medal game! Anyway, they had sustained attacks for at least half the game and USA did a fantastic job. Very fun game to watch!

fake news.....canada is currently on the phone with the IIHF to discount 2 fraudulent goals scored by the US (did anyone even confirm those players citizenship before they were allowed on the ice) as well as adding 4 goals for team Canada that were clearly scored......everyone saw those goals scored, it was clear as day.

In case you saw the picture of team USA with a picture of a Barrel that had team Canada logo on it.... I think TSN is trying to say team USA was calling Canada's team Trash by posting it... Zegras interview should have put that to rest by saying it was their team slogan.. focus on the next Barrel. Here is the poster up in team USA locker room that explains that logic.

TSN also posted a picture of Zegras saying he was giving team Canada "One last stare down and shrug" ... that picture was taken after team Canada left the ice. You can see the bench behind Trevor.. he is not on the blue line. It was a picture of him shrugging saying... we did it.

huge congrats to team USA. All I can say is, they played like a team, they played for each other, and they played a fantastic overall game. I think the players who have played together in the USNDP showed their previous years chemistry and it was a huge difference maker.

Team Canada played like a bunch of selfish 1st round picks who thought they could all do it alone. Byram took how many selfish and unneccessary wrist shots from the point with zero traffic, that knight was so easily able to absorb and see. Byfield and other top end forwards were invisible. It was just a bunch of kids carrying the puck over the blue and trying to take a wrist shot from outside the face off circles as USA's defense kept them to the outside all night.

Well done team USA. You deserved that win big time.

Yeah, I wasn't quite sure what to think of that barrel at first, but the explanation from Team USA did satisfy me and it even checks out with internal emails. I don't take offense to it. A little strange, but 'meh'.
