Best thing about this game is it shows who stand out as impact players. 1st rounders are not all they are cracked up to be. Some of the shine comes off.

Most are lucky if that. Very few end up as 1st liners.

Seen a funny tweet. Fla Panthers have both Spencer Knight and Devon Levi as top prospects and still have Bobroski for 6 more years at 10 mil per.

I guess that is what happens when you center on goalies (Luongo/Allaire )

Everybody thinks only elite players are 1st liners. There ain't that many elite players to go around.

Out shot 13-1 in the 3rd period. This is how Russia felt after the Czech game.

Pretty pathetic first half of the game for Canada. I blame the coaching staff much more than the players.

They didn't play their game until it was too late.
Good game though after all those crappy ones and there was a lot of them.

That’s what happens when you only have four or five truly competitive teams in the entire tournament, it is what it is.

Agree. Middle 6 is a more common projection. Fans get to hyped & overrate prospects too easily. Nothing is wrong with a very good 3rd liner. Anything more is a bonus.

It's been like that for forever.

Covid hurt a bit this year.

Strength of some euro squads might be better next season.
