Yeah, it's slim pickings. Mike Condon, Jimmy Howard or Richard Bachman.

They signed another goalie i was thinking about, Zach Fucale, as well.

Just went through the 31 teams to see if there might be an extra goalie out there somewhere, over the age of 25.
Only 3 teams had a 4th goalie, Detroit-Pickard
Montreal-Primeau and Toronto-Hutchinson.

As Load said, slim pickings out there.

I would go with Kielly for now . If a goalie gets injured then look around or call up Mike D.

Kielly isn’t the answer. A call up faces a 14 day quarantine. Look around where that cannot be done now? Silovs will be here soon.

I don't care about a 14 day quarantine , if you are down to your third and fourth goalie you are pretty well screwed .

Yes both goalies can get injured in April. Will there still be quarantine in April? I would look at what unusual circumstance could happen but would not be worried about protecting against all of them .

Very solid game for Hoglander. Him being in mid season form gives him an edge in camp. Good for him. Loving the idea of him earning a spot beside Bo opening night. Goal assists and in on some other chances... could be the creativity needed on that line.

Good to see other solid performances from new faces in the scrimmage like Lockwood and Rathbone. So much young depth showing up for this team. Suck it Lefty.

The last back up goalie to win a game for the Canucks was Thacher Demko in 2017 he won the only game he played in. DiPietro has played in two games in two years did not win. Domingue did not win his one game he played last year.

As you can see not a lot of games call for a third goalie and when they have been called they usually lose.

I wasn't considering whether or not the 3rd string goalie would play never mind win a game, just discussing, who do you put on the taxi-squad.
1 has to be a goalie, so someone has to be there, whether it be Kielly, or MDP or whoever else.
Obviously, with Kielly only being ECHL calibre, it is a waste of a roster spot so he is no longer a candidate.

I think goalies can be unlimited so if he was called on it would be very short term. No ECHL this year so Kielly will either be taxi squad depth or a Comet.

I was looking at it from an owners prospective . Last year they signed Domingue 800 K to play one game and he lost. I would stick with Kielly who would get paid his AHL salary and if a major injury does happen then you can react but history shows they only call upon a third string guy one or two games a year.

Interesting.

Capfriendly has included taxi squads and training camp into their roster projections page now.

Raffy might be on his way down just because of not needing to pass through waivers.

I was being facetious about Kielly being ECHL calibre, so he isn't an option, because Nightie shot it down right away, without giving it any thought.
I believe they will go with Kielly on Taxi-squadwith MDP and Silovs in AHL to get some games, if a serious injury were to occur, call up MDP.
As Benning has said, the long term prospects will be in the AHL, so that in my mind anyways, means both MDP and Silovs are AHL bound and Kielly is the 3rd stringer.

Not being able to play defensively might also have something to do with that.
