Podz had the kind of tournament I thought he would. Worked his ass off every shift, high energy high pressure, points against lesser teams. Still has a game against the Fins so could get a few more points...or not. Doesnt matter, he played as advertised so nothing to complain about.

Hogz exactly where I thought he'd be, on Bo's wing and looking confident. Hope he can find another gear still.

Feedback on Hogs have been pretty positive so far. See where it goes. Would love to see Bo get exactly what he needs on his line.

Was just in the car and heard Dhaliwal say AHL players this year will only get paid 40 %

That's going to end a lot of careers, some of those guys make 70k a year and have to pay to live in expensive cities. Not worth it.

They will be bunking in 2 bedroom apartments like tree planters. 8 to an apartment.

Brings some east-west to that line only problem is the other players on his line don't know how to play east-west very well.

Podkolzin will be an Burrows type of player: complimentary, smart, hard on the forecheck and backcheck. He's not going to carry a second line, but he's going to round it out and make it much better.

I think a lot of people were impressed by his playmaking, and rightfully so. He doesn't have a great shot (can work on that), but he sees the ice well and is defensively sound. The pain-in-the-ass kind of player you want on your team

The Canucks need some players like this.
Podkolzin will be fine.

I've been saying this the entire time. Some people get triggered over that for some reason.

Then if Lind can work on his speed, they are very similar. That will be some 6 through 9 swag that can chip in and annoy other teams.

I have the same problem. Clearly it's not us, it's them.

Want to just add a couple depth items to this.

- He’s going to take time, but Will Lockwood has *wheels* and stood out at camp today. Will be interested to see how he fares in the AHL.
- Marc Michealis remains a fascinating dark horse for the taxi squad. Sneaky fast.

Any news from camp? I heard Dave Tomlinson on the radio this morning commenting on Podkolzin, I think he’s in the bubble in Edmonton covering the WJC.

I have clearly understood your points regarding Podkolzin, unfortunately not everyone understands basic English.

I think taxi squad, but he gets his chance as soon as injuries hit. On the wing is my guess.

I would assume the league will allow the teams to pick up the hotel rooms for the taxi squad.
