Is it hard to learn Chinese? Since our government is about to be owned and operated by them all the way up to the Oval Office I figure its probably a good move to learn.
- MBFlyerfan

For a guy like you, its frankly hard to learn anything beyond the idiotic cliches you mouth.

I would start with trying to learn to use Google, then seeing what happened to the US China trade deficit this past 4 years before Covid (way ahead of trend pre-Trump), the Chinese stock market this year, their massive EU-China trade deal signed this week, the gigantic trade deal they signed with Asian countries this past November, their booming stock market (up 27% this year), their crackdown on Jack Mao, the repression in Hong Kong (about which Trump did precisely nothing), their total Covid infections (less than what US is averaging per day).

China today is far, far stronger in everything than it was 4 years ago and far stronger than trend. They seem to have done very well not owning the Oval Office, apparently.

But this lack of learning is not b/c its beyond your ability to absorb but because of your willingness to accept, so I will leave you instead with this.

Let them kick, scream, and name-call. Their numbers will be a lot smaller than they think.

No, no. Certainly not prerequisite. You did not do the contra-positive correctly.

here is my original statement:

"1. The problem is not the inclusion of women in broadcasts. The problem is these women are all 1. young 2. white 3. attractive and 4. have very little history of having played the sports."

This does not mean that I am advocating for the employment of women who are old, non-white, unattractive and have played the game.

(If I object to conditions A,B,C,D in simultaneity that does not mean I favor not A,not B, Not C and not D in simultaneity).

- PT21

So do tell. What are you advocating for?

You started this with your criticism of Hatcher and what you deemed the current type of women seen in sports broadcasting. You have indicated that you would be accepting of an attractive woman who played the game and is knowledgeable. You have said you want more minorities.

So again what is it you want? Why did you criticize women in hockey broadcasting today?

Playing experience not required? List four must-haves.

A novel idea here. Why not hire the best person for the job! All these inclusive nut jobs are hypocrites.
Show me your the best man or woman for the job and aren’t a drama case then you’ll fit right in.

Team Canada started to push back. USA needs to keep their composure and keep pushing forward.

I wish this was possible. But fitting-in has been hard for women in male-dominated sports. And people tend toward what is most familiar and similar to themselves. Getting a real unbiased perspective in hiring is rare.

Brink is a shot blocking machine. Announcer called him the smartest player on the ice.

York made a few more good plays.

Congrats team USA.
Very good team D. Canada didn’t get a lot of prime scoring chances.

Canada showed up to late.

Not sure what offence Brink will bring in the future, but he is going to play in the NHL.

York’s game to me looks like a pro game already...doesn’t try and do to much, plays with in himself. Keeps it simple. Reminds me a bit of Duncan Keith. Looking forward to watching him on the back end for the Flyers for years to come....US saved there best for last...good for them...they deserved it.

I hope York is ready sooner than later. We could certainly use him to help fill that top 4 void we now have.

Noticing Brink a ton this period
- arichardson22

Me too, I am noticing that he can't keep up with the pace of play. He has been used sparingly in these last two games, especially in the 3rd periods.

Yes York has improved noticeably as the tournament has gone on, and the fact that he was wearing the 'C' for this team speaks to his leadership and character. I am hopeful he will be with the Flyers within 2 years, he needs to bulk up a bit more first.

As for Brink, sorry but my opinion of him has only got stronger over these last two games against Finland and Canada. IMO Brink was completely irrelevant in either game and I don't see him making the NHL. He just can't skate and keep up with the pace of play, and the pace will only get faster as he nears the NHL. I just don't see it.

could be true but had multiple shifts in the O Zone where he got in on the forecheck and turned the puck over., He also did a nice job of back checking. His positioning (like all US) was really good and he made 2-3 nice blocks in crunch time. His coaches think he is one of the smartest players on the ice, you can see he knows where to be in all zones.

He has a long way to go for sure but winning gold and his work ethic, the book is still open on him.

Actually he is far from the smartest guy in the room. He is incapable of thinking for himself. He just parrots the talking points and what he has been brainwashed to think and say in his indoctrination. He is incapable of original thought.

Not the fastest no. And that really is the only knock on him. His board work passing and hockey I q are excellent. He almost set up multiple goals. And it has been proven before that skating can be fixed/ improved a lot easier than other aspects of the game. Again. If he can’t skate why was he on the team? Half of the Canadian roster is prob as fast or faster than a lot o do actual nhl player.

Understand the concern but think it’s a little over dramatic.
