Agreed fully but that's kinda the problem. People more interested in power than quality leadership which sometimes means telling people what they need to hear rather than what they want. Grabbing whatever power they can and then using it in ways that aren't for the greater good but for what they think will help them retain power longer. And again I have no belief they'll give that power back after the pandemic

I'm curious but who are you thinking of in this case? I can't think of one. I can think of politicians who aren't in power being critics but for those currently in power I struggle to find many if any that fit that description

B) off the top of my head...Freedom of movement in the Constitution is an upfront one. I was told I couldn't go to my cottage last spring despite the fact I'm legally guaranteed that right in the Constitution and I was still required to pay property taxes on it. Freedom of assembly. Deciding which businesses can stay open and which must close, give up their livelihoods essentially picking winners in a free market economy. Do I anticipate them giving up any of those usurped powers? Not quietly

I would also imagine somebody paying closer attention than I could make a more thorough list

Ok, I'll start with a caveat: I think all politicians are power hungry, after that I don't have a description that's decent enough to write of them, and I mean all of them.

That said, sure they may go back, but then what is to stop a politican from using the precedent in the future for a lesser reason. I'm not willing to assume things like that when it comes to my freedom, that's why I question it. Once your freedom has been suspended for any reason it's only prudent to question what will happen to it in the future. The arbitrary nature with which these suspensions have been applied only amplifies that concern. Pro athletes but not amateur athletes, big box stores but not mom and pops, politician travel but not everyday person travel, etc. In the best of times I don't trust politicians, I'm certainly not willing to now
