Knight must be excited to sit on the bench for the next 6 years watching Bob give up 5 goals a game
- TPC

Knight reminds me of a good player but not a good NHL player. He lets up a ton of rebounds. I think he would be an average to below average NHL'er. Probably great in the AHL though.

Yea wasn't the Russian starting goalie a top 10 pick this past draft? They both could turn out to be great but man I don't know if I could pick a goalie that high in any draft.

Rangers should just sign Schneider and add him to taxi squad, there is no light at the end of the tunnel when the WHL is gonna play this season

I want him to keep playing

It was a good game. Zegras was very noticeable throughout the game. He's going to be a good player if he keeps that up.

Berard looked like a true 3rd liner IMO. I am not sure where he projects at this point.

I agree with other's thoughts. Canada looked like a team riddled with talent, however, did not know how to turn up the level when tested. Definitely a product of easy games for them. Kudos to USA.

Loved hearing Ferraro going nuts while he was dropping his stick everytime someone came within a foot of him!

it was definitely a no brainer for Nashville to take him, but they certainly hyped this guy up enough

I don't know. I'm with TPC. Goalies shouldn't be taken in the 1st round

or at least not in the top 10-15

Well, regardless of how he looked through these 7 games, he has been a top-level talent for a few years now, so...

So what is the protocol this year for positive covid tests? Is the player out for at least 7-10 days? In a condensed season like this where teams play every other day that will be huge if top players miss time, especially a bunch at once

Except for DiPietro, that was a no-brainer.

I was looking over the last 15 drafts....only one goalie was taken in the top 10. That was Carey Price in 2005. He worked out. But other than him 7 other goalies have been drafted in the first round, only Vasilevskiy in 2012 at pick 19 has panned out to be great so far. Samsanov has potential but we still don't know yet. And this is only looking back 15 season. Just doesn't seem like way I would go

Yeah, probably not fair, but looking at the history of goalies in the top 10 is it really that good? I think there are a lot more wasted 1st round picks on goalies than probably any other position.

Edit: Never mind, TPC did the leg work on that.

That makes me feel a little better, since we only wasted a 2nd round pick recently!!

No. I'm working at my usual 37% efficiency.
Working from home has NOT improved the level of concentration I exhibit toward my work! Fortunately, I am good enough at my job to (frank) around for large parts of the day and then put my head down and get it done on time.
