I honestly feel like Zibby doesn't have the temperament to take on the C and not have it affect his game. He is in such a great place right now, I want them to just leave him be.
I am the first to admit that I did not like Kreids for the Captaincy for quite a while. He has completely made me a believer over the last 18 months. I get the impression that taking on that role will keep him engaged more than ever before. He seems to be a man of integrity and would not feel good about disappearing shift after shift.

Kreider is the best guy in the locker room at dealing with the media and in this town, especially with Larry Brooks running around, that's the best reason to name him captain IMO

I was laughing at myself last night.
I wanted the US to win to give the best match up for a great gold medal game tonight. But, I found myself cheering for the Finns to come back out of habit!

I think it is telling though that Kreider took LAF under his wing and trained with him this offseason. Not sure if he took the initiative or the Rangers wanted him to do that. But still shows how even in the offseason he takes the leadership role seriously

Truly a breakout candidate this season. I think he’s kind of flown under the radar considering the other prospects in the system which could benefit him. He has all the tools, just needs to get some confidence.
