guess it will be more difficult the other way around. let's say a canadian team claims a guy on waivers from an american team. the player has to quarantine for 14 days before he can play. it's necessary in the pandemic context but it will advantage american teams in my opinion (or imo if you need a summary of my last three words).

I don't think the Leafs have the choice anyway, cause they are paying 4 guys 10M$. So you need to do things like play Joe on your first line for cheap.

That's the price to pay for them with the cap and so few of them taking so much cap space.
